Lionel Messi Receives 5th Golden Shoe Award For Europe's Top Scorer

Lionel Messi, the talented Barcelona forward, was awarded with his fifth Golden Boot on Tuesday afternoon, Marca reports.

The footballer was given the award after being the top goalscorer in Europe last season with 34 goals in LaLiga Santander.

He was handed the trophy by MARCA director Juan Ignacio Gallardo and the Argentine was as humble as ever with his comments.
“I did not expect all of this when I started," said Messi.

"My dream was to be a professional, to be able to succeed in football.

"There was some recognition for his teammates at the Blaugrana as they help him secure these individual accolades.

"I enjoy the work, the effort and, above all, the teammates," he added when asked about what he likes about football.

"I am in the best team in the world, I am next to the best in the world in their positions and that makes everything easier [when it comes to] winning these awards."

The 31-year-old also spoke about the last 16 draw of the Champions League, where Barcelona will play Lyon.

"Lyon was not the strongest name [in the hat], but it will be complicated," said Messi.

"They were equal when they played [Manchester] City; they will be difficult to advance against."It's a long way away, a lot of things can happen between now and February.

"We don't know how they're going to be, how we're going to be, but we know it's going to be a complicated game."

Egyptian archaeologists have discovered a mummy in one of two previously unexplored tombs, the antiquities ministry said on Saturday. A Clinical Microbiologist, Dr Tony Mbume, has advised women to stop wearing tight jeans, synthetic panties and leggings, to prevent vaginal infections. A grieving husband has been forced to show officials his genitals to prove that he didn’t kill his wife. Identified only as Barsah, he was taken in for questioning following the death of the young woman, 23. His father-in-law Nedi Sito claimed she died during sex as a result of the size of his joystick on February 26. Police in Indonesia then made him show his joystick to them, his late wife’s relatives, and other officials from their village. It was found that he had a normal sized joystick.
