Lionel Messi Receives 5th Golden Shoe Award For Europe's Top Scorer

Lionel Messi, the talented Barcelona forward, was awarded with his fifth Golden Boot on Tuesday afternoon, Marca reports.

The footballer was given the award after being the top goalscorer in Europe last season with 34 goals in LaLiga Santander.

He was handed the trophy by MARCA director Juan Ignacio Gallardo and the Argentine was as humble as ever with his comments.
“I did not expect all of this when I started," said Messi.

"My dream was to be a professional, to be able to succeed in football.

"There was some recognition for his teammates at the Blaugrana as they help him secure these individual accolades.

"I enjoy the work, the effort and, above all, the teammates," he added when asked about what he likes about football.

"I am in the best team in the world, I am next to the best in the world in their positions and that makes everything easier [when it comes to] winning these awards."

The 31-year-old also spoke about the last 16 draw of the Champions League, where Barcelona will play Lyon.

"Lyon was not the strongest name [in the hat], but it will be complicated," said Messi.

"They were equal when they played [Manchester] City; they will be difficult to advance against."It's a long way away, a lot of things can happen between now and February.

"We don't know how they're going to be, how we're going to be, but we know it's going to be a complicated game."

21-year-old Indian television actress commits suicide after a failed relationship

Popular Telugu TV actress, Naga Jhansi committed suicide at her residence in Hyderabad by hanging herself on Wednesday. The 21-year old actress is said to have taken such an extreme step after a failed relationship with her boyfriend Surya aka Nani. Jhansi and Nani are said to have been in a relationship for a while now but Nani's parents were against their relationship. They were unhappy with him planning to get married to Jhansi and this did not go down well with her. Indian Man To Die By Hanging For Destroying 4-yr-old Girl's Intestine Via Rape

A teacher has been sentenced to death by hanging for raping a four-year-old student so badly that she had to have her intestines realigned. Mahendra Singh Gond is due to be hanged next month after he raped the child on June 30 last year in India's Madhya Pradesh district. He raped the girl so badly that he rearranged her insides, then he dumped her body in a jungle area, assuming she was dead. A desperate search was launched, before the girl's family found her with agonising injuries and rushed her to hospital. Her injuries were so severe that she had to be airlifted to a Delhi hospital where she had an operation to realign her intestines, reports Times Now News. Gond was arrested within hours of the horrific attack and he was convicted after the girl made a statement during her recovery. Gond was sentenced to capital punishment on September 19 last year. Victims of domestic violence in New Zealand will now be allowed to take up to 10 days paid leave from work to try to escape the abuse. This is part of a scheme to address the nation’s "shocking" levels of family violence.  Introducing the scheme, which is the first in the developed world, Greens MP Jan Logie, a member of the ruling Labour-led coalition, said the leave would help victims to move homes or settle children into new schools. Famous Mexican drug lord,  Joaquin  "El Chapo"  Guzman  has been found guilty on all counts against him and is expected to spend the rest of his life in a US jail  El Chapo who escaped from prison twice, made his first successful attempt in 2001 and broke out of a Mexican jail by hiding in a laundry bin. Chris Brown under investigation for alleged rape in France

R&B singer,  Chris Brown  has landed himself in another trouble after being accused of rape in Paris. According to French publication 'Closer', the 29-year-old R&B star is currently under investigation by French police after a 24-year-old woman claimed he sexually assaulted her in his hotel room this month. She said Chris Brown raped her on the night of Jan. 15-16th after meeting at a club located near  Les Champs-Elysees  in  France .
