Zambian President Wants U.S. Ambassador Out Of The Country For Defending Gay Couple

Image
Zambian President Edgar Lungu wants the U.S. ambassador to leave the country after the diplomat criticized the African state for sentencing a gay couple to 15 years behind bars for having a consensual relationship. “We have complained officially to the American government, and we are waiting for their response because we don’t want such people in our midst,” Lungu said Sunday in comments broadcast on state-owned ZNBC TV. “We want him gone.” U.S. Ambassador Daniel Foote said last month that he was “personally horrified” after the high court sentenced the two men and called on the government to reconsider laws that punish minority groups. The move was particularly disturbing as “government officials can steal millions of public dollars without prosecution,” Foote said. The U.S. provides $500 million in aid to Zambia yearly, according to Foote. “We are saying no to homosexuality,” Lungu said in comments broadcast by Sky News earlier this month. “When you are tying it to aid, if that is h

US President Donald Trump Reacts To Impeachment: They Are Not After Me, They Are After You

Image
President Donald Trump was impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday night, becoming only the third American chief executive to be formally charged under the Constitution’s ultimate remedy for high crimes and misdemeanors. The historic vote split along party lines, much the way it has divided the nation, over a charge that the 45th president abused the power of his office by enlisting a foreign government to investigate a political rival ahead of the 2020 election. . . The House then approved a second charge, that he obstructed Congress in its investigation. The articles of impeachment, the political equivalent of an indictment, now go to the Senate for trial. . . If Trump is acquitted by the Republican-led chamber, as expected, he still would have to run for reelection carrying the enduring stain of impeachment on his purposely disruptive presidency. “The president is impeached,” Pelosi declared after the vote. She called it “great day for the Constitution of the Unite

Bisi Alimi has given his opinion on a movie on Netflix that portrayed Jesus as a gay man. The movie generated controversy and a number of people, including Apostle Johnson Suleman, called for Christians to boycott Netflix. Reacting to the controversy, Bisi threw shade at the Nigerians who are expressing outrage about the movie. He wrote:  Honestly, whatever you do, make sure you watch the film on Netflix. It is called “The first Temptation of Jesus”. For the Nigerians making noise, the film is in Portuguese, so I doubt if you will understand it anyway. Well back to the film; it is so funny that 2mins into it you will be crying with tears. Even God is a character. The conversation between Joseph and Mary and then God bringing them a gift is fucking hilarious. Oh and the three wise men, they need Nigerians to ply that bit. Gosh! You need to see this film! I am giving it 10/5
