Judgement on P&ID $8.9billion Gas Contract Is A Daylight Robbery – Magu The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has commenced an investigation into the circumstances leading to the $8.9billion arbitral award against Nigeria by a United Kingdom Court over alleged breach of gas contract agreement between it and Process and Industrial Development Limited. This was disclosed by the acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu on Friday while playing host to a delegation from the Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NDC), led by the Chairman and Chief Executive, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa who sought for collaboration with EFCC towards effective combating of cybercrimes, being committed by Nigerians in the Diaspora. Magu, who described the process leading to the judgment as “daylight robbery” vowed that the Commission will forensically investigate the transaction and bring anyone one found wanting to justice. . Andrew Young, a former ambassador of the US to the UN, says Nigerians are always complaining about the government but that ”something is wrong with everybody”. Young said this on Thursday at dinner organised by the Emeka Offor foundation for him in Abuja. The event was also to mark the record of no wild polio virus case in Nigeria in three years. AFROPOP star, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid has become the first African artist to hit eight million monthly streams on Spotify. Spotify is an online, music streaming platform that pays royalties based on the number of artists streams as a proportion of total songs streamed. News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that streaming records revealed Wizkid’s popularity on the platform on Monday. The previous record was held by Congolese rapper and singer, Maitre Gims.
