The GoFundMe campaign dedicated to Americans funding the Texas border wall has been shut down after funders failed to reach the $1 billion goal set. Bobby Whithorne, director of North America Communications for GoFundMe said donors will receive their money on April 11, unless they choose to donate their contribution to the campaign creator's new venture, GoFundMe said in an email to the campaign's participants.   Brian Kolfage, a triple-amputee Air Force veteran, raised more than $20 million on the crowd-funding platform to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. At the onset of the campaign, Kolfage said he would only collect the funds if the campaign hit its goal of $1 billion about one-fifth of what President Trump has been demanding from Congress to build it.   "However, that did not happen. The Niger State Police Command has apprehended one Ishaya David, 29, for allegedly killing his wife. Ishaya was arrested by police detectives attached to the Gawu Babangida Division in the Gurara Local Government Area of the state. The suspect, who hails from Sabon Kaida village in Gurara, was said to have killed his wife, Rifkatu David, 25, over allegations of promiscuity. It was learnt that the suspect stabbed his wife to death for having an affair with her ex-boyfriend. Northern City News gathered that the suspect had earlier cautioned his late wife to desist from relating with her ex-boyfriend, but she reportedly ignored the warning. Narrating what led to the killing of Rifkatu on Thursday, Ishaya said, “I used a knife to kill her for her refusal to adhere to my instruction. India and Nigeria are set to sign Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) before the end of January that would enable direct flights between the two countries, the Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr Abhay Thakur has said. Senate President Bukola Saraki has alleged that there is massive fraud within the oil sector.  In an interview with Channels Television’s Seun Okinbaloye, the lawmaker said applying subsidy on assumption that Nigeria consumes fifty million litres (50million litres) of fuel a day, is fraudulent. Saraki said in the Jonathan administration subsidy was based on an assumption that the nation consumes 30million litres of fuel daily. He added that he and some other lawmakers warned that the Jonathan government was condoning corruption “by over importing fuel and because of that we were losing a lot of money”. The Senate President said the present government instead of changing the process, jerked up the importation by 20 million litres extra. Yesterday, a man was spotted fighting publicly for his girlfriend at a party, after she's gang beaten by four girls. The man who threw several punches at the girls, was applauded by female online users for defending his girl. One of the ladies was badly injured after she was punched to the floor. A scorned wife meted out a serious punishment on her husband’s lover after catching her at their house. The wife forced the woman to confess and told her she had to pay by doing housework. First the woman was given a cloth and bucket and told to scrub the floor. Then she was told to wash the bedding and the blankets – the very same blankets the lady had shared with her husband. “You want to be the woman of this house? “Then do the chores as a wife. I want these blankets clean,” said the wife in a video. The woman is told to say she sleeps around with married men who have kids over and over, while she is being filmed. The video was apparently shot in Pretoria, Tshwane, South Africa at the weekend and went viral on Monday. The side chick is later made to mop up her footprints on the ground with a cloth. Many on social media users thought the wife was unfair.
