A mass grave containing the remains of 800 German soldiers killed in World War II has been unearthed during building work in the south-western Russian city of Volgograd, the German War Graves Commission said on Friday.   The discovery in the once fiercely-contested city, previously known as Stalingrad, was made while water pipes were being laid, the commission said.   Full excavation will be problematic because part of the grave is located beneath a housing development, it added. The victory of Soviet troops at the Battle of Stalingrad is considered a major turning point in the war. In the winter of 1942/43, it is estimated that some 700,000 soldiers and civilians died on both sides.   Some historians believe more than one million people died during the battle, with many of them freezing to death in below-zero temperatures. Many are still officially missing. The bones from the mass grave are believed to have belonged to soldiers, who died in the winter months of 1942/4

The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese,  Matthew Hassan Kukah  has said that there is a very high tendency for any Nigerian President to be irresponsible due to the extent of power he wields. He stated this in his address during the annual lecture at the Ulefunta/Oyemekun festival in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Friday.  According to Kukah, no President in the world could boast of the kind of power available to the Nigerian President.   In his words: “No President in the world has the kind of power the Nigerian president has and as such, no President in the world can be as irresponsible as the Nigerian President. His power is so much that he can give oil bloc to his girlfriend and many others. You thus can’t be a man of honour and live in a country like Nigeria and not be angry. What is the problem? Juventus  striker,  Cristiano Ronaldo  is likely to be invited by the Police for questioning over his rape allegations as detectives prepare to bring new methods to their investigation. The Las Vegas police have refused to reveal more details since after they had re-opened the case, but a US detective who ha handled 1,200 sexual assault cases said he had no doubt the force would want to question Ronaldo over 34-year-old  Kathryn Mayorga’ s claims, at a time when the #MeToo movement has triggered the re-opening of hundreds of historic allegations. According to the report by Daily Mail, Ronaldo’s alleged victim may be asked to undertake a new form of psychological assessment, designed to trigger memories of the night in June 2009 when she was with the footballer. The American detectives are reportedly finding increasing success in focusing on what they call ‘neurobiological trauma’, which allows those who allege sexual assault to recall details years later. American rapper, Nicki Minaj has been dragged to court by a stylist who claimed she wore his clothes and didn’t return them. According to Page Six, stylist  Maher Jridi is suing the incredibly rich rapper for failing to return expensive wardrobe items she had borrowed last year. The stylist further added that he rented the pieces for thousands of dollars from a company called Cloak Wardrobe. Nicki allegedly wore the clothes and didn’t bother to give them back once she was done. This same stylist happened to be the mind behind her Paris Fashion Week looks last year, and claims he is on the hook for $13,000 to replace the gear. He claimed to have made several attempts to resolve the issue out of court, but claims Nicki has ignored him. Jridi also alleges that the rapper has not fully paid him for his services. And it is why he is now seeking a total of $73,000.

Cristiano Ronaldo featured prominently in the internet, advertising for the wildly football video game, EA Sports, but he has recently been removed from all social media promotions for the game as well as from banner pictures on EA Sports' website. The Juventus forward has featured on the cover of the FIFA franchise for the last two years.  EA spokesperson told  Reuters : "We have seen the concerning report that details allegations against Cristiano Ronaldo. "We are closely monitoring the situation, as we expect cover athletes and ambassadors to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with EA's values." Ronaldo has since been removed from all EA sport' social media pages. The star is no where to be seen on the official twitter and facebook banner for the brand. The star previously featured on EA Sports' homepage on their website as the cover star for FIFA'19.
