The US military has deployed soldiers to Gabon amid fears of violent protests in neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo after its presidential election. According to a recent chat she had with a friend before her death, she said she dreamt that she was bleeding and was told, in the dream, that her boyfriend had used her for ritual. In the chat, she revealed that when she woke up, she discovered that she was bleeding, prompting her to call her pastor, who confirmed that Best had indeed used her. Wendy went on to reveal that the pastor told her to have a river bath within 3 days or risky losing her life. However, it seems she eventually lost the battle. Meanwhile, when contacted, the boyfriend denied having a hand in her death. Two lovers reportedly drowned while ‘having sex in a river’ to celebrate the new year, and their family have blamed it all on a mermaid. The two lovers identified as Charmaine Nyakata (21) and 17-year-old Munashe Nedziva, were allegedly having sex in Mayambura River near Prince Charles Dam in Seke, Zimbabwe, when the incident occurred. While some believed that the man drowned while attempting to save his lover from drowning, the Unclad bodies of the lovers where retrieved by police sub-aqua divers and the clothes of the lovers were found on the edge of the dam placed on stones. A brain surgery has been successfully carried out at Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital in Kano. The operation which is said to be the first of its kind - was conducted by a team of doctors at the hospital which was established early last year by governor Umar Ganduje's administration.  In March 2018, governor Ganduje signed the state Ultra-Modern Specialist Hospitals Bill into Law.    The law is specifically meant to propel activities of two clinics, Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital, Giginyu and Pediatric Hospital along Zoo Road in the metropolis.  Signing the bill at the state executive council meeting, he assured that the operations and management of the hospitals would not be business as usual. A 20-year-old woman has told the court why she killed her ex-boyfriend’s two-year-old son. Appearing before an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court in Lagos State on Friday, Chinenye Ndubuife, 20, was quoted by prosecution, Sgt. Kehinde Omisakin, as having confessed that she killed her ex-lover’s son in revenge because she had lost her womb following several abortions from pregnancies resulting from her amorous affair with the father of the deceased. Her ex-boyfriend had the baby with another woman. Earlier, Sgt. Omisakin had told the court that the accused committed the offence on December 12, 2018, at No. 70, Lawani St., Olodi-Apapa. The Police on Wednesday, January 2, arrested a 44-year-old Nigerian man, identified as Nicolas Kujoe, who lives in Angul Railway Station, in Odisha, India, for duping a doctor of Rs. 18.50 lakhs.  The Police also seized the cash, a passport and a mobile phone from the possession of Kujoe. According to reports, the suspect had duped one Dr. Mangal Charan Murmu, a pediatrician posted in Sishu Bhawan in Cuttack, on the pretext of providing him medical equipments at cheaper rates. For the purpose, he had taken Rs. 18.50 lakhs in cash from Murmu. After learning that he had been duped by Nicholas, the doctor filed a police complaint following which the Police raided Angul Railway Station on Wednesday evening and caught Nicolas, while he was trying to flee the town. Police officials informed that Nicolas had been residing in Mumbai on business VISA since October 2018.  Further investigation into the matter is underway.
