Prince Aminu Sanusi Lamido, son of the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II has finally married his heartthrob, Zainab Ali Bashir.

The wedding Fatiha took place in Al-Furqan Mosque, Alu Avenue, Nassarawa GRA Kano on Saturday 29th December, 2018.

The Crossing Swords took place at the Emir of Kano Palace midday.

Prince Sanusi is an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

The bride is the daughter of Dr Sani Ali Bashir.

Lionel Messi’s brother sentenced to 30-months in jail for illegal gun possession

Matias, the elder brother of Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has been sentenced for possessing an illegal firearm. The 35-year-old received a two-and-a-half year prison sentence on Thursday, August 16, but instead of doing time in prison, he will undertake community service. According to the report by Argentine newspaper La Capital, investigating prosecutors met before they reached an agreement of Matias not to go to prison any longer. The report added that the firearm was found late in 2017, inside a blood-stained boat which Matias crashed in the Parana River. Matias' lawyer was also said to have argued that his client crashed the boat into a sandbank and denied that he owned the gun. Matias who has has been linked with known criminals in the past, was held for 16 hours in a prison cell in 2015 after officers found an unlicensed 22-calibre gun in his car. He was also arrested In 2008 for allegedly having a loaded gun in his belt.

US Justice Department threatens to sue Harvard University over admissions policies

The U.S. Justice Department has threatened to sue Harvard Universityto force it to turn over documents as it investigates whether the Ivy League school’s admission policies violate civil rights laws.Citing a 2015 lawsuit that charges the school’s affirmative action policies discriminate against Asian-American applicants, the federal government in a letter set a Dec. 1 deadline for Harvard to hand over documents on its admission policies. The Justice Department is probing the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based school’s compliance with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, according to the letter, dated Friday and seen by Reuters on Tuesday. Oprah Winfrey donates $5 million to the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta

Billionaire media mogul, Oprah Winfrey on Friday night donated $5 million to the Ron Clark Academy, a private school for gifted black students in Atlanta. Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has performed the ground-breaking ceremony of the Dangote Education for employment (E4E) job centre at Okpuala in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of the state.The pilot project which is to be fully funded by Dangote Group, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, is aimed at providing a digital one-stop-shop for job seekers with services that include free employment consultancy.
