Nigerian man arrested in India for duping a doctor: Photos

The Police on Wednesday, January 2, arrested a 44-year-old Nigerian man, identified as Nicolas Kujoe, who lives in Angul Railway Station, in Odisha, India, for duping a doctor of Rs. 18.50 lakhs. 
The Police also seized the cash, a passport and a mobile phone from the possession of Kujoe.

According to reports, the suspect had duped one Dr. Mangal Charan Murmu, a pediatrician posted in Sishu Bhawan in Cuttack, on the pretext of providing him medical equipments at cheaper rates. For the purpose, he had taken Rs. 18.50 lakhs in cash from Murmu.
After learning that he had been duped by Nicholas, the doctor filed a police complaint following which the Police raided Angul Railway Station on Wednesday evening and caught Nicolas, while he was trying to flee the town.

Police officials informed that Nicolas had been residing in Mumbai on business VISA since October 2018. 
Further investigation into the matter is underway.

An American woman in Zimbabwe has been jailed for 'insulting' President Robert Mugabe by allegedly tweeting an image of him which suggested he has a catheter from an anonymous account which was still active as she languished behind bars on Saturday. Martha O'Donovan, 25, was arrested on Friday morning at her home near Harare, the country'scapital, and was taken into custody on a charge of insulting or undermining the president and trying to overthrow an elected government.Police say that on October 11, O'Donovan tweeted that Mugabe, 93, is a 'very selfish and sick man' and claimed that he was surviving on a catheter. Italy arrests Libyan, Egyptian over death of 26 Nigerian women Two men, one of them an Egyptian and the other a Libyan, have been arrested and charged in Italy as investigators look into the deaths of 26 Nigerian women and girls, who are suspected to have been murdered while attempting to cross the Mediterranean. The organisers of the planned academic conference on witchcraft planned for Nsukka next week are looking for another venue after the University of Nigeria withdrew the approval for the use of its Energy Centre. FIFA bans three former presidents for life as part of crackdown on corruption

The ethics committee of World football governing body, (FIFA) has placed a lifetime ban on former presidents of the Guam, Nicaraguan and Venezuelan football associations for corruption. Ex-Guam FA boss Richard Lai, a former Asian Football Confederation(AFC) official, and FIFA committee member, pleaded guilty to fraud in the United States after an investigation into his case was opened in April. A Nigerian man named David Ukesone who boarded a flight for the first time in his life, has been hospitalized after being tied with sit belt on a flight from Nigeria to Chicago on the 23rd of January, 2018. WgnTV Reports that Ukesone had never been on a plane before, and it was his first time flying, according to his family. His children said there was no issue on his flight from Nigeria to Dubai.
