Nigerian man arrested in India for duping a doctor: Photos

The Police on Wednesday, January 2, arrested a 44-year-old Nigerian man, identified as Nicolas Kujoe, who lives in Angul Railway Station, in Odisha, India, for duping a doctor of Rs. 18.50 lakhs. 
The Police also seized the cash, a passport and a mobile phone from the possession of Kujoe.

According to reports, the suspect had duped one Dr. Mangal Charan Murmu, a pediatrician posted in Sishu Bhawan in Cuttack, on the pretext of providing him medical equipments at cheaper rates. For the purpose, he had taken Rs. 18.50 lakhs in cash from Murmu.
After learning that he had been duped by Nicholas, the doctor filed a police complaint following which the Police raided Angul Railway Station on Wednesday evening and caught Nicolas, while he was trying to flee the town.

Police officials informed that Nicolas had been residing in Mumbai on business VISA since October 2018. 
Further investigation into the matter is underway.

Cops Who Killed Osaze Osagie, Nigerian Student In US, Cleared Of Charges

State College cops who killed Osaze Osagie, a Nigerian student in the United States, have been cleared of all charges. The police officers had implemented the use of force while serving a mental health warrant that resulted in the death of Osaze Osagie on March 20. According to a the Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna, the officers were in a “life-and-death situation” when they shot Osagie who was approaching them with a 5.16-inch steak knife, Onwardstate reports. Osagie died of multiple gunshot wounds after the confrontation at his apartment on Old Boalsburg Road. Doctor beheaded by boyfriend after she refused to marry him

A junior doctor was beheaded by her boyfriend after she refused to marry him, police say. The boyfriend then tried to take his own life but failed. 26-year-old Shyngys Bekenov, a teacher, proposed to his girlfriend Nazerke Bekzhanova, 21, who had recently graduated from medical university in Kazakhstan. But Nazerke refused to accept the proposal because her parents did not approve of him, it is believed. Angered by her rejection, Shyngys severed his girlfriend's head as they sat in his car. He then tried but failed to end his own life by stabbing himself in the abdomen after writing a suicide note asking that they should be buried together, according to police. His note claimed he had beheaded the woman after she told him she would marry him, it was reported. At least 100 people have been arrested and 80 injured as French police clashed with fuel tax protesters Saturday in Paris.   Thousands of people gathered at the Champs-Élysées in the third weekend of protests against the government over rising fuel prices and taxes. At Paris’ famous monument on the western end of the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, riot police fired tear gas and a water cannon to displace the crowd.   Some protesters had lit fires, thrown rocks and sprayed police officers with yellow paint earlier Saturday morning in an effort to breach the barricades blocking a route to the Elysee Palace, President Emmanuel Macron‘s official residence.
