The Yoruba actress who arrived Atlanta Georgia for Oodua Image award has been arrested in the US after her bank account was allegedly used for fraudulent bank transfer by some suspected scammers posing as promoters in Atlanta, US. Out of ignorance the actress fell prey to some Nigerian criminals in Atlanta allowed her bank accounts to be used to transfer some amount of money to Nigeria. Sadly, Immediately she arrived in Atlanta for her birthday party, she was immediately arrested and placed under house arrest. it was discovered that a foreign promoters contacted the actress to seek her permission to use her bank account to move funds and she agreed. The deal could have fetched her some amount of millions but it backfired and leads to her arrest. According to reports, this unknown man was brought to General Hospital in ilorin, Kwara state yesterday by Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC officials on patrol without any identity on him as to locate his relatives. The man, identified simply as Abu, said he had travelled to Kuala Lumpur in 2008 in search of greener pastures, when he ran intosome Malaysians, who told him he could make good money by parting with one of his kidneys. According to one of his associates, Sam Otarumene, who spoke to Sunday Telegraph, Abu was introduced to some medical agents in Malaysia who briefed him about the “business” and allayed his fears that he could die.“He was told he could survive on one kidney, and was also assured that he had nothing to lose. Within a few days, some tests were conducted on him, and his organs were certified healthy,” Otarumene said. Hundreds of Muslim demonstrators have stormed a Coptic church in Egypt calling for it to be demolished. A hostile mob wreaked havoc in the building bywrecking sacred objects and attacking worshippers after gathering outside during Friday prayers. During the brief siege the demonstrators chanted offensive slogans and called for the church's demolition, the diocese in Atfih said. The wounded were transferred to a nearby hospital after security guards dispersed the mob. The nature of their injuries is not known.The church in Giza, just outside of Cairo, is yet to be sanctioned by the state but has been observing prayers for 15 years. The diocese said it had officially sought to legalize the building's status under a 2016 law that laid down the rules for building churches. Former Nigerian Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has accused respected news medium New York Times of lying about US President Donald Trump's purported comment about Nigerians. The New York Times on Saturday had reported that Trump said in a June 2017 meeting that Nigerians refuse to "return to their huts" after seeing America. Other comments credited to the president at the meeting include: "immigrants from Haiti all have AIDS" and "Afghanistan is a haven of terrorists. "The New York Times had quoted two anonymous sources present at the meeting butwho sought anonymity.
