See Another Nigerian Actress Arrested In The US For Credit Card Fraud

Popular female Nollywood filmmaker, yoruba actress Yewande Adekoya Abiodun is now in big mess in the United States of America. The Yoruba actress who arrived Atlanta Georgia for Oodua Image award has been arrested in the US after her bank account was allegedly used for fraudulent bank transfer by some suspected scammers posing as promoters in Atlanta, US.

Out of ignorance the actress fell prey to some Nigerian criminals in Atlanta allowed her bank accounts to be used to transfer some amount of money to Nigeria. Sadly, Immediately she arrived in Atlanta for her birthday party, she was immediately arrested and placed under house arrest. it was discovered that a foreign promoters contacted the actress to seek her permission to use her bank account to move funds and she agreed.

The deal could have fetched her some amount of millions but it backfired and leads to her arrest. Her passport has been seized and she is placed under house arrest for credit card scam and bank transfer fraud.In July 2017, Nollywood actress Lola Margaret was arrested in the US for credit card fraud and has been off social media.

Amy Wright, mother of two kids born with Down syndrome and an avid advocate for disabled workers has emerged the winner of the 2017 CNN Hero of the year award. Wright was named the 2017 CNN Hero of the Year for her efforts to advocate for disabled people. The award is determined by online voters who selected Wright from among thetop 10 CNN Heroes finalists. Wright's advocacy took the form of acoffee shop. She opened Bitty & Beau's Coffee in January 2016, named for her two children. On Sunday, it was clear that Wright, Bitty, Beau and the 40 disabled employees at the Wilmington, North Carolina, shop have an army of supporters. Wright will receive $100,000 to grow her cause. Cops Who Killed Osaze Osagie, Nigerian Student In US, Cleared Of Charges

State College cops who killed Osaze Osagie, a Nigerian student in the United States, have been cleared of all charges. The police officers had implemented the use of force while serving a mental health warrant that resulted in the death of Osaze Osagie on March 20. According to a the Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna, the officers were in a “life-and-death situation” when they shot Osagie who was approaching them with a 5.16-inch steak knife, Onwardstate reports. Osagie died of multiple gunshot wounds after the confrontation at his apartment on Old Boalsburg Road. Despite 9M Pregnant Nigerian Women, Only 2.4M Gets HIV Testing

With over nine million Nigerian women said to be pregnant every year, only about 3.6 million have access to antenatal care and about 2.4 million of them tested for HIV. This was disclosed by Head, Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT), Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Ijaodola Olugbenga. He said of the 2.4 million pregnant women that get testing for HIV/AIDS in the country annually, at least 64,000 of them are positive to the virus every year. A Nigerian man named David Ukesone who boarded a flight for the first time in his life, has been hospitalized after being tied with sit belt on a flight from Nigeria to Chicago on the 23rd of January, 2018. WgnTV Reports that Ukesone had never been on a plane before, and it was his first time flying, according to his family. His children said there was no issue on his flight from Nigeria to Dubai.
