A Nigerian lady,Emem Uwah, has taken to her twitter handle to narrate how Nigerians on Twitter came to her aid when she was depressed and suicidal.

She wrote on how someone paid her rent, paid for her medications and the rest. See below her chat

Buhari's aides react as Cardi B jokingly seeks Nigerian citizenship over Trump’s airstrike on Iran.  Abike Dabiri-Erewa, chairman of diaspora commission, and Bashir Ahmad, President Buhari's aide on new media, reacted to Cardi B's tweet saying she was filing for Nigerian citizenship.  Bashir Ahmad  the personal assistant on new media to President Muhammadu Buhari, also reacted to Cardi B's tweet.  The presidential aide also jokingly tweeted that Cardi B's choice of Nigeria has put an end to the usual playful rivalry between the country and its West African neighbor.

FG Makes N909 Billion From VAT in 2017

Between October 2016 and September 2017, the federation account received a total inflow of N908.9bn in Value Added Tax receipts from the Federal Inland Revenue Service, figures obtained from the National Bureau of Statisticshave revealed.An analysis of the VAT report obtained from the NBS showed that the amount was collected from 28 sectoral activities during the period under review. A breakdown of the amount showed that the sum of N207.35bn was generated in the fourth quarter of 2016, while the first, second and third quarters of 2017 had N204.77bn, N246.3bn and N250.56bn, respectively. In the report signed by the Statistician General of the Federation and Chief Executive, NBS, Dr. Yemi Kale, the bureau said the manufacturing sector with N115.76bn generated the highest amount of VAT revenue. Nigerian Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has said the struggle in the country is between good and evil and not between the two major religions. According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, the VP spoke at a public lecture organised by the Council of Chief of Imams, Ikeja Division in Lagos with the theme “the role of Muslim leaders in the South-West towards achieving peaceful and successful 2019 elections.” Osinbajo said, “I want to say to you that it’s a battle between good and evil.
