35 days after, U.S. Senate passes bill to end government shutdown with no funding for the border wall

On Friday, the US Senate and House of Representatives voted unanimously to end the 35-day partial federal government shutdown with legislation to temporarily fund many agencies, but without the $5.7bn President Donald Trump had demanded this year to help build a wall on the US-Mexico border.  

Later on Friday, President Trump signed the bill, which will provide funding through February 15 and end the longest government shutdown in US history. Earlier in the day, Trump announced that a deal had been reached.  

"I am very proud to announce today that we have reached a deal to end the shutdown and reopen the federal government, In a short while, I will sign a bill to open our government for three weeks until February 15. I will make sure that all employees receive their back pay very quickly, or as soon as possible," Trump said at the White House.
The president however tweeted, 'I wish people would read or listen to my words on the Border Wall. This was in no way a concession. It was taking care of millions of people who were getting badly hurt by the Shutdown with the understanding that in 21 days, if no deal is done, it’s off to the races!.
The president first allowed the partial shutdown to go into effect in December after Democrats refused to approve the billions of dollars in funding for a wall along the US-Mexico border.

20 year old Instagram model, Sinead McNamara dies in a Mexican billionaire’s yacht in Greece

Police have commenced Investigation to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of popular Australian Instagram model  Sinead McNamara , after her body was discovered on Friday aboard a super yacht owned by a Mexican billionaire on a Greek Island.   The 20-year-old model was found unconscious around 2 a.m. Friday on the back of the Mayan Queen IV in the Greek port of Argostoli in Kefalonia. The doctor on the yacht and port authority officials attempted to revive her as a helicopter arrived at the scene to transport her to a hospital but she died while heading to the hospital. Operatives of the Department of State Services on Friday morning disrupted the ongoing trial of activists Omoyele Sowore and Olawale Bakare, attempting to rearrest the two men, who were only released from its detention on Thursday evening. The DSS operatives also chased away the presiding judge, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu while also brutalising a journalist with a popular television station. U.S. Journalist Jailed In Zimbabwe For Insulting Mugabe On Twitter

An American woman in Zimbabwe has been jailed for 'insulting' President Robert Mugabe by allegedly tweeting an image of him which suggested he has a catheter from an anonymous account which was still active as she languished behind bars on Saturday. Martha O'Donovan, 25, was arrested on Friday morning at her home near Harare, the country'scapital, and was taken into custody on a charge of insulting or undermining the president and trying to overthrow an elected government.Police say that on October 11, O'Donovan tweeted that Mugabe, 93, is a 'very selfish and sick man' and claimed that he was surviving on a catheter.
