Superstar footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, and his fiancee Georgina Rodriguez arrived this morning at a Spanish court in style, where he accepted a fine and suspended jail sentence for his tax fraud case.
The 33-year-old Juventus striker was ordered to pay a total of 18.8million euros(£16.9million) after the deal with the Spanish prosecutors was confirmed at a court hearing in Madrid this morning.

He also received a 23-month prison sentence but as a first-time offender for a non-violent crime, he will not spend a day in jail, according to Mail Online Sport
Ronaldo who played for Real Madrid before moving to Juventus was initially alleged to have defrauded 14.7 million euros (£12.95 million) but it was confirmed on Friday they were accusing him of defrauding just over 5.7 million euros (£5.3million).

Madrid prosecution sources said: 'The Provincial Prosecutors' Office of Madrid is seeking a 23-month prison sentence for Cristiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Aveiro for the commission of four crimes against the Public Treasury relating to Personal Income Tax for the tax years 2011 to 2014 inclusive.

State College cops who killed Osaze Osagie, a Nigerian student in the United States, have been cleared of all charges. The police officers had implemented the use of force while serving a mental health warrant that resulted in the death of Osaze Osagie on March 20. According to a the Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna, the officers were in a “life-and-death situation” when they shot Osagie who was approaching them with a 5.16-inch steak knife, Onwardstate reports. Osagie died of multiple gunshot wounds after the confrontation at his apartment on Old Boalsburg Road. A junior doctor was beheaded by her boyfriend after she refused to marry him, police say. The boyfriend then tried to take his own life but failed. 26-year-old Shyngys Bekenov, a teacher, proposed to his girlfriend Nazerke Bekzhanova, 21, who had recently graduated from medical university in Kazakhstan. Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California has been evacuated after a bomb scare. The building housing employees for both Facebook and Instagram was emptied after police received an anonymous phone call alerting them about the threat. Local police were on site quickly and swept the building for explosives. They later issued an update that the building has been given the all clear. There were no bombs or suspicious packages discovered at the social media giant’s headquarters.
