Washington DC Mayor proclaims February 8th as "Taraji P. Henson Day" (Photos)

February 8th has now been officially proclaimed as Taraji P. Henson Day.
The 48-year-old award-winning actress was presented with the special honor on Friday afternoon at the Office of the Mayor in Washington, D.C.
Mayor Muriel Bowser gave Taraji a proclamation to the City, and officially recognizing the day in her honor for her contribution to the city.

State College cops who killed Osaze Osagie, a Nigerian student in the United States, have been cleared of all charges. The police officers had implemented the use of force while serving a mental health warrant that resulted in the death of Osaze Osagie on March 20. Doctor beheaded by boyfriend after she refused to marry him

A junior doctor was beheaded by her boyfriend after she refused to marry him, police say. The boyfriend then tried to take his own life but failed. 26-year-old Shyngys Bekenov, a teacher, proposed to his girlfriend Nazerke Bekzhanova, 21, who had recently graduated from medical university in Kazakhstan. But Nazerke refused to accept the proposal because her parents did not approve of him, it is believed. Angered by her rejection, Shyngys severed his girlfriend's head as they sat in his car. He then tried but failed to end his own life by stabbing himself in the abdomen after writing a suicide note asking that they should be buried together, according to police. His note claimed he had beheaded the woman after she told him she would marry him, it was reported. A newlywed couple have become the couple with the most short-lived marriage after they divorced just 3 minutes after getting married. Only seconds after they signed their marriage contract in a courthouse, the wife tripped and the groom called his new wife 'stupid' for tripping over. In tears, the bride demanded an annulment. Local media reports that the judge officiating the ceremony dissolved their marriage on the spot. They had only been married for three minutes and this leaves them with the shortest partnership in Kuwaiti legal history .
