Prophet Shepherd Bushiri's church members fire hot prayer outside the court as himself and his wife are arraigned for fraud & money laundering

Wealthy Malawi pastor, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, who were arrested in South Africa last Friday February 1st, were arraigned before a Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court on  Monday February 4th on charges of fraud, money laundering and contravening the Prevention of Organised Crime Act dating back to 2015.

The clergyman and his wife who are well known for their flamboyant lifestyle, were arrested at a hotel in Rustenburg last week Friday February 1st. Read here.

A baby born with a football-sized cyst on her neck is finally going home after a team of 40 doctors removed the growth from her neck in a gruelling operation. Parents feared the worst when little Bella-Rose Burress was delivered with a growth that was twice the size of her own head. But the one-week-old child has made a full recovery after the meticulous operation in Chicago, Illinois, was successful on August 27. Doctors diagnosed Bella-Rose with cystic hygroma - a collection of fluid-filled sacs - at Ms Pilarski's 20-week scan. The Libyan Navy has rescued 199 illegal immigrants, including women and children, while attempting to reach Europe by sea. "A Libyan Coast Guard patrol rescued 179 men, 16 women and 4 children on board rubber boats in the middle of the sea," the Information Office of the Libyan Navy explained. The office added that the immigrants were of different African nationalities, including Nigeria. Four of them were from Egypt. The migrants were handed over to the immigration HQ of the Immigration Control Agency after providing them with humanitarian and medical assistance, according to the Information Office of the Libyan Navy.

Agents with U.S. Customs and the Drug Enforcement Administration have seized $18 million dollars’ worth of cocaine disguised as banana heading to a prison in Texas.   According to reports, the Wayne Scott Unit Prison Farm outside of Freeport, Texas, received a couple pallets of bananas as a donation. When two sergeants went to pick up the pallets, they found the drugs.   “One of the sergeants noticed one of the boxes didn’t seem quite right, looked a little further, removed that box off the pallets, looked inside and saw something extraordinarily suspicious,” Jeremy Desel with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice told KTRK.   Hidden under bundles of bananas were 540 kilos of cocaine. Mullah Nangyalay was killed but local officials say the attack also hit dozens of innocent bystanders. More than 60 civilians were killed or wounded in a US drone attack targeting a top Taliban splinter-group commander in the western Afghanistan province of Herat, local officials said. FBI Declares 6 Nigerians Wanted For $6 Million Fraud

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking assistance in finding six Nigerians who the United States indicted for fraud. The bureau took to its Twitter handle to solicit help in finding the six men who are wanted for “their involvement in ​business​ email ​compromise (BEC) schemes resulting in over $6 ​million in losses”. “Help the #FBI find ​six Nigerian nationals wanted for their involvement in ​business​ email ​compromise (BEC) schemes resulting in over $6 ​million in losses,” it wrote. It asked that tips on the matter should be submitted here.
