21-year-old Indian television actress commits suicide after a failed relationship

Popular Telugu TV actress, Naga Jhansi committed suicide at her residence in Hyderabad by hanging herself on Wednesday.
The 21-year old actress is said to have taken such an extreme step after a failed relationship with her boyfriend Surya aka Nani. Jhansi and Nani are said to have been in a relationship for a while now but Nani's parents were against their relationship.
They were unhappy with him planning to get married to Jhansi and this did not go down well with her. Police officials reached her residence after they were informed by neighbours of the actress' death.

Officials shifted her body to Gandhi Hospital and have started investigating the case. Reportedly, police officials are waiting for the post-mortem report and will begin their investigation after that.
Jhansi is known for her role in popular Telugu daily soap Pavitra Bandham. The actress hails from Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh and lives alone in Srinagar Colony in Hyderabad.
This is not the first instance when a celebrity from the Indian entertainment industry has resorted to such an extreme step.
In the past, popular supporting actor Vamsi too committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling after a rocky marriage.

SERAP reports FG and ASUU to the United Nations over the continued closure of Nigerian Universities

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project(SERAP) has sent an urgent appeal to two UN special rapporteurs urging them to “prevail upon the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to reach an agreement to end the ongoing strike action by ASUU. (CNN)A Russian warship "aggressively approached" a US Navy destroyer while it was operating in the North Arabian Sea Thursday, ignoring warnings from the US vessel and increasing the risk of a collision, the US Navy said Friday. DJ killed at festival in Brazil after stage collapses during performance

A 30-year-old DJ was killed at the Atmosphere Festival in Brazil and three other people were injured after high winds caused the stage to collapse. DJ Kaleb Freitas was performing Sunday when the stage suddenly destructed at about 2 p.m local time. Revellers captured the horrifying moment the metal structure over thestage came down during a storm at the packed Atmosphere Festival in Esteio near the southern city of Porto Alegre. DJ Kaleb was rushed to hospital critically injured after suffering head injuries but died soonafter arrival. An investigation has now been launched to determine why the festival wasn’t shut down, despite the severe weather warnings about heavy wind, hail and torrential rain.
