US rapper Kanye West sues Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records

Kanye West has reportedly filed a lawsuit against his former friend Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records and EMI Publishing over unpaid publishing royalties.
According to TMZ, the rapper and producer filed two lawsuits against Roc-A-Fella Records and EMI April Music. 
In his suit against his former record label, 'Ye claims that he signed an exclusive recording agreement with the company and is seeking monies owed from the label.
In his second lawsuit with EMI Publishing, Kanye claims that in 2003, before his debut album College Dropout was released in 2004, he signed a contract with them that would allow him to produce songs for other artists.
Kanye also claims that he'd written over 200 songs by the end of 2011 and that he gave those songs to EMI before they had a dispute. He’s asking a judge to declare him his rights back to him, presumably to collect royalties.
The Gossip site also revealed that Kanye has enlisted the law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan to rep him in the case.

Kehinde Olatubosun, 56, from Ibadan, Oyo State, was arrested on Saturday night along with 18 other drug addicts at a joint in Ipodo, Ikeja. Victims of domestic violence to enjoy paid leave in New Zealand

Victims of domestic violence in New Zealand will now be allowed to take up to 10 days paid leave from work to try to escape the abuse. This is part of a scheme to address the nation’s "shocking" levels of family violence.  Introducing the scheme, which is the first in the developed world, Greens MP Jan Logie, a member of the ruling Labour-led coalition, said the leave would help victims to move homes or settle children into new schools. She said it would also help to protect victims from abusers, who often stalked them at work or tried to sabotage their careers. "This is a win for victims, a win for employers, and a win for society," she said.  "This law is a world first and it will make a significant difference for people trying to escape domestic violence." Rapper Cassidy arrested for drug possession and outstanding warrants

Philadelphia rapper, Cassidy was on Sunday afternoon arrested for weed possession and outstanding warrants. The 35-year-old 'I'm A Hustler' rapper was busted in Jersey City when police spotted him in a vehicle, and noticed a strong marijuana smell from inside the car, TMZ reported According to a police report, officers discovered there was a joint sitting in clear view on the dashboard. They also found a baggie of weed and a grinder, typically used to crush weed.Cassidy was booked for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The Law enforcement also revealed that they discovered that Cassidy has an outstanding warrant in another county for the exact same offenses.
