Muslim Woman Decorates Pastor’s House Ahead Of Christmas In Kaduna

A Muslim woman decorated a Pastor’s house with Christmas trees, ahead of the Christian celebration in 2018.

Ramatu Tijjani, who is also said to be a peace ambassador and interfaith professional mediator in Kaduna state, decorated the residence of Pastor Yohanna Buru, the general overseer of Christ Evangelical Church Sabon Tasha ahead of Christmas.

The Muslim woman decorated the Pastor’s house with light, wreaths, stockings and ornaments, and according to her, this was to strengthen peaceful co-existence and a better understanding of different faiths among citizens of Nigeria.

“I observed that the Christmas tree is very vital to the life of every Christian all over the world, and that is why I bought it to decorate the pastor’s house, as a sign of promoting unity, togetherness and to wish all Christians worldwide the best of the season and happy new year in advance, Mrs Tijjani said.

Ramatu who disclosed that Muslims and Christians are children of Adam and Eve who believe in One God and have holy books they believe in, urged people to support each other and live in peace and harmony.

The Pastor who thanked Ramatu Tijani for donating the Christmas trees, new wrappers and food to the Christian needy, said;

“Ramatu is the first woman who used her money to donate many things to churches, widows and orphans.”

Amy Wright, mother of two kids born with Down syndrome and an avid advocate for disabled workers has emerged the winner of the 2017 CNN Hero of the year award. Wright was named the 2017 CNN Hero of the Year for her efforts to advocate for disabled people. The award is determined by online voters who selected Wright from among thetop 10 CNN Heroes finalists. Wright's advocacy took the form of acoffee shop. She opened Bitty & Beau's Coffee in January 2016, named for her two children. On Sunday, it was clear that Wright, Bitty, Beau and the 40 disabled employees at the Wilmington, North Carolina, shop have an army of supporters. Wright will receive $100,000 to grow her cause. State College cops who killed Osaze Osagie, a Nigerian student in the United States, have been cleared of all charges. The police officers had implemented the use of force while serving a mental health warrant that resulted in the death of Osaze Osagie on March 20. According to a the Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna, the officers were in a “life-and-death situation” when they shot Osagie who was approaching them with a 5.16-inch steak knife, Onwardstate reports. Osagie died of multiple gunshot wounds after the confrontation at his apartment on Old Boalsburg Road. Despite 9M Pregnant Nigerian Women, Only 2.4M Gets HIV Testing

With over nine million Nigerian women said to be pregnant every year, only about 3.6 million have access to antenatal care and about 2.4 million of them tested for HIV. This was disclosed by Head, Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT), Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Ijaodola Olugbenga. He said of the 2.4 million pregnant women that get testing for HIV/AIDS in the country annually, at least 64,000 of them are positive to the virus every year. A Nigerian man named David Ukesone who boarded a flight for the first time in his life, has been hospitalized after being tied with sit belt on a flight from Nigeria to Chicago on the 23rd of January, 2018.
