Chinese Factory Worker Miraculously Survives After Being Impaled On Spikes

A 49-year-old Chinese man was working the night shift at a factory when, without warning, a machine malfunctioned, crushing him under a mechanical arm and impaling him on ten spikes; a certain death, or so his colleagues thought.

The porcelain factory worker, known by the surname Zhou, was rushed to hospital in Zhuzhou, southern Hunan Province, last Tuesday by his horrified and desperate colleagues who were powerless to remove the 10 steel spikes which measured 30cm (12 inches) long and 1.5cm (0.6 inches) thick. He was in extreme distress and unable to move his right hand.
One spike penetrated just 0.1mm from the man’s subclavian artery and its accompanying vein which, if severed, would almost certainly have killed him.

Of the ten spikes, six of them pierced his right shoulder and chest while the remaining four penetrated his right forearm and wrist. After an initial examination, he was transferred to the Xiangya Hospital of Central South University which specialises in complicated surgery.

Operatives of the Inspector General of Police (IG) Intelligence Response Team (IRT) have arrested a notorious Boko Haram Commander, Abdulmalik Umar, at a nurse's home where he was receiving treatment for a bullet wound in Lagos yesterday December 20th. According to the police, the suspect masterminded the explosions at Nyanya and Kuje in Abuja in 2015, as well as several bank robberies in Ondo, Edo and other southern states. He fled to Abuja three weeks ago when some of his gang members were apprehended. Doctor beheaded by boyfriend after she refused to marry him

A junior doctor was beheaded by her boyfriend after she refused to marry him, police say. The boyfriend then tried to take his own life but failed. 26-year-old Shyngys Bekenov, a teacher, proposed to his girlfriend Nazerke Bekzhanova, 21, who had recently graduated from medical university in Kazakhstan. But Nazerke refused to accept the proposal because her parents did not approve of him, it is believed. Angered by her rejection, Shyngys severed his girlfriend's head as they sat in his car. He then tried but failed to end his own life by stabbing himself in the abdomen after writing a suicide note asking that they should be buried together, according to police. His note claimed he had beheaded the woman after she told him she would marry him, it was reported. A Nigerian man named David Ukesone who boarded a flight for the first time in his life, has been hospitalized after being tied with sit belt on a flight from Nigeria to Chicago on the 23rd of January, 2018. WgnTV Reports that Ukesone had never been on a plane before, and it was his first time flying, according to his family. His children said there was no issue on his flight from Nigeria to Dubai. But from Dubai to Chicago, there was a misunderstanding that led to their father being restrained for more than eight-hours ultimately sending him to the hospital. Man loses both legs in hippo attack in Kenya. There is rising cases of human-wildlife conflicts in Naivasha, where wild animals have been straying out of their natural habitats in search of pasture and water. Doctors have amputated the legs of a man who was attacked by a hippo in Lake Naivashaat the weekend. The doctors said cutting off both legs under the knees was the only way to save the life of the father of two. The amputation came amid concerns over rising cases of human-wildlife conflicts in the town. Naivasha is home to two major national parks and several animal sanctuaries. Wild animals have been straying out of their natural habitatsin search of pasture and water, especially following the prolonged drought.
