Nigerian Man Injures Officers During Arrest At Underground Station In Italy

A 26-year-old Nigerian who tried to evade the authorities and allegedly injured officials at Porta Nuova, Italy, has been arrested.

It was gathered that the incident happened this morning, at the Torino Porta Nuova underground station when staff/operators of the State Police engaged in the usual checks at the Metro stops.

The officials reportedly suspected the Nigerian and decided to check out his identification and papers. At the request of the documents, the man allegedly opposed and launched a violent resistance against the officials.

A patrol team arrived to aid the first operators, who were struggling with the Nigerian man at the underground station.

It was reported that during the arrest, an operator was allegedly bitten in the leg and other another, wounded.

The Nigerian man was later taken into police custody for resisting arrest and causing injury to officers.
