Barcelona icon, Xavi 'agrees £5.4m-a-year deal' to replace Quique Setien as new manager of the club

Barcelona icon, Xavi has reportedly agreed to replace Quique Setien as the new manager of the Spanish giants.    Setien, 61, has been under intense pressure since replacing Ernesto Valverde in January, and there are speculations that the club's board have already decided to sack him in order to pave the way for Xavi.    According to Mundo Deportivo, a "firm agreement" has been finalized and it would see Barcelona pay Xavi, 40, a bumper £5.4million per year. He is expected to take up the reins at the end of the season.      The legendary Spanish midfielder, who joined the club at the age of 11, made 767 first-team appearances for Barcelona, scoring 85 goals with 182 assists. He also won eight league titles, four Champions Leagues and three Copas del Rey, as well as two Club World Cups.

Abacha Biggest Thief In World History’ – Omokri Replies El-rufai

Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has identified the late former military Head of State, Sani Abacha, as the biggest thief in world history, stating that 21-years after, more loots linked to the former dictator were still being uncovered. Omokri was responding to the claim by Nasir El-Rufai, Governor of Kaduna State, that Northerners are rarely arrested for advance fee fraud, popularly known in local parlance as Yahoo Yahoo. Speaking at the Northern Youth summit organised by Northern Hibiscus Initiative in Kaduna on Saturday, El-Rufai said although the North was the most backward and uneducated region in Nigeria, it was a thing of pride that Northerners were rarely arrested for Yahoo Yahoo and other financial crimes. Negotiations between Nigeria, the United States of America and the Island of Jersey for the return of fresh $300m from former Head of State, late General Sani Abacha, has reached an advanced stage, Daily Trust heard yesterday. The Special Assistant to the President on Justice Sector Reform and National Coordinator for Open Government Partnership, Mrs Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagwu, A presidential aide, also said the figures being reported [£210m – equivalent to $267m or N82bn) are wrong. She said negotiations and litigation on money have been ongoing for over three years between the USA, Island of Jersey and Nigeria. The presidential aide refuted reports that the money will be divided between Nigeria, US and Jersey. A man was seriously humiliated after he was caught having sex with a married woman. According to reports, the duo were caught while romping in an uncompleted building. The man who was caught unclad with his married lover, was forced out of the uncompleted building without his clothes on - in a bid to shame him alongside his partner. Russian Lady Who Forgave Boyfriend After Biting Her, Finally Killed By Him

A 20-year-old Russian man identified as Oleg Myshadaev, has admitted to police that he killed his girlfriend with a knife, hammer and billiard cue. Myshadaev had previously been spared jail after Alexandra Shaposhnikova, 20, begged a judge not to send him to prison for biting off her nose. However, one year on, he went into a vodka-fuelled rage and Alexandra was found dead in the flat where they lived in Saransk, Russia.
