The U.S. Justice Department has threatened to sue Harvard Universityto force it to turn over documents as it investigates whether the Ivy League school’s admission policies violate civil rights laws.Citing a 2015 lawsuit that charges the school’s affirmative action policies discriminate against Asian-American applicants, the federal government in a letter set a Dec. 1 deadline for Harvard to hand over documents on its admission policies. The Justice Department is probing the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based school’s compliance with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, according to the letter, dated Friday and seen by Reuters on Tuesday. South Africa’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Bobby Monroe, has denied reports of Xenophobic attacks in his country. Monroe denied that the attacks in South Africa are xenophobic and targetted at Nigerians. The Commissioner made the comments at a media briefing with Nigeria’s foreign affairs ministry headed by Geoffery Onyeama. He described the attacks as ‘sporadic acts of violence’ adding that businesses belonging to other South Africans were also affected in the violence. Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore has reacted to the  N10 billion libel suit filed against him, the Sahara Reporters Incorporated and the Incorporated Trustees of Sahara Media Foundation by the General Overseer, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, Dr Daniel Olukoya for their failure to desist from publishing false and malicious articles against him and his church, MFM, since 2013.
