Photos: 115 African migrants including 11 women, a baby and 31 unaccompanied minors rescued from rubber boat off Libyan coast

SOS Mediterranean, European Organization for the rescue of lives in the Mediterranean, on Saturday morning rescued 115 African migrants from an overcrowded fragile rubber boat in distress off Libyan coast. Among those rescued were 11 women, a baby and 31 unaccompanied minors.They are safely aboard safe in boardthe ship, Aquarius.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's Stasi ID card found in German archives

CNN) The discovery of an East German secret police ID card wouldn't normally attract much attention, but things get a lot more interesting when it's Vladimir Putin's. Issued in 1985, the document belonged to the then mid-ranking Soviet officer, now the President of Russia.  At the time, Putin worked for the KGB spy service as a liaison with the East German State Security Service (Staatssicherheitsdienst), nicknamed the "Stasi." From 1985 to 1990, Putin was stationed in Dresden, East Germany. The German newspaper Bild says the ID card found in the archives proves Putin was working for the Stasi, but the Stasi Records Agency (BStU) says it served a purely practical purpose. According to multiple online reports, unknown gunmen invaded a branch of Diamond bank in Owerri, Imo state capital. The hoodlums in theirnumbers reportedly attacked the bank with highly sophisticated weapons this morning and they made away with an undisclosed sum of money and leaving some person(s) injured. Human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), has threatened to sue the Federal Government following his involvement in a road accident. The human rights lawyer had broken his leg after falling into a manhole while walking to hisoffice in Abuja.He promised that he would not leave the matter to God like the ordinary Nigerian would, but will sue the government on Wednesday.
