Two lovers reportedly drowned while ‘having sex in a river’ to celebrate the new year, and their family have blamed it all on a mermaid. The two lovers identified as Charmaine Nyakata (21) and 17-year-old Munashe Nedziva, were allegedly having sex in Mayambura River near Prince Charles Dam in Seke, Zimbabwe, when the incident occurred. In the video, a lady and a man had argument over misunderstanding, the lady slapped the man, the man retaliated and gave her a heavy slap that saw her staggering. Nigerians that saw the video are divided over it. While some are blaming the man for retaliating, others are supporting the man. Some are of the opinion that no matter what, that the man shouldn't have slapped the woman back. Instagram user, Hotdealzdirect said: "It's wrong to slap a woman, no matter what. He is not a gentleman."  Then another Instagram user, Ozzyemmanuel, fired back: "@hotdealzdirect why did she slapped him In the first place?" Lady Caught Stealing After Drugging Man Who Took Her Home From Club (Photos)

Men have been warned to be careful of the ladies they take home from nightclubs or bars following an incident which has gone viral on social media. According to reports, a lady in a bid to rob a man who took her to his home, allegedly drugged him after a drinking spree. It was gathered that the yet-to-be identified lady was already stealing his household items after the man passed out but was caught by the neighbors who saw her in action. The lady was apprehended by the neighbors but rescued by the police who prevented her from being lynched, according to reports. The drugged man had to be dragged out of his home by the neighbors after the lady had been arrested. Facebook user Sandra John shared the video of the incident but didn't give the exact location where it happened.

U.S. Journalist Jailed In Zimbabwe For Insulting Mugabe On Twitter

An American woman in Zimbabwe has been jailed for 'insulting' President Robert Mugabe by allegedly tweeting an image of him which suggested he has a catheter from an anonymous account which was still active as she languished behind bars on Saturday. Martha O'Donovan, 25, was arrested on Friday morning at her home near Harare, the country'scapital, and was taken into custody on a charge of insulting or undermining the president and trying to overthrow an elected government.Police say that on October 11, O'Donovan tweeted that Mugabe, 93, is a 'very selfish and sick man' and claimed that he was surviving on a catheter. They claim they traced the anonymous Twitter account @matigary, which allegedly posted thetweet, to her address through its IP address.On Saturday, O'Donovan was held in custody after a brief court hearing and she must now wait until November 15 to return to court.Her lawyers say they will appeal for her to be granted bail at the High Co...

Abdullahi Babalele, son-in-law of Atiku Abubakar was docked today on a new charge of laundering $140,000. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission who brought him before Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, did not state the recipient of the money, but it fits the N50million gift sent by Atiku to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, days before the election. Babalele faces a two-count charge bordering on money laundering to the tune of $140,000.00. He allegedly persuaded one Bashir Mohammed, a Bureau De Change( BDC) operator, to make a cash payment of the sum of $140,000 without going through any financial institution, an offence contrary to Section 18(c) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011 as amended and punishable under Section 16(2)(b) of the same Act.
