Joe Biden teams up with Lady Gaga to set up trauma centers for sexual assault survivors

Former US Vice President, Joe Biden has revealed his new collaboration with Lady Gaga to provide support victims of sexual assault while speaking at Glamour‘s Women of the Year Summit on Monday, November 13 in New York.

Biden and Gaga who previously teamed up for the It's On Us campaign back in October, are now looking to open trauma centers for long-term relief. “Women who are abused end up having long-term physical and physiological problems. I’m working with Lady Gaga now we want to set up trauma centers where women can go to get the long-term help they need to deal with these crises.

We finally are recognizing the long-term impacts on the health of women andmen who’ve been abused. It’s the next great frontier I want to be part of” Biden explained.Lady Gaga's working relationship with Biden stems directly from her participation in speaking out in support of sexual assault survivors.

In February 2016, Biden welcomed Gaga to the stage at the Academy Awards for her moving performance of "Til It Happens To You," the award-winning song she penned alongside Diane Warren for The Hunting Ground.

I was pondering this morning about murder , you know , with all the disturbing front page articles on murder and the gruesome pictures shown. I started thinking , how can people be so heartless and lacking in empathy to the extent of not just killing a fellow being but doing so in a manner that is savagely barbaric. These murderers must have mental health issues, anger problems or just plain evil built into their DNA. Following this thinking, I began to wonder, but what about abortion, is it murder and if yes, is there a difference between a murderer who kills a grown man or woman, and someone who aborts a fetus. NSE market capitalisation rises by N29bn ON NOVEMBER 7, 2017The market capitalisation of Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) rose by N29 billion on Tuesday following rekindled investors’ confidence. Newsmen report that the market capitalisation rose by N29 billion or 0.23 per cent to close at N12.810 trillion from N12.781 trillion recorded on Monday. Also, the All-share index grew by 82.74 basis points to 37, 013.57 from 36, 930.83 achieved on monday. In all, Investors traded 305.171 million shares worth N2.905 billion in 4399 deals, against 466.522 million shares worth N2.90 billion exchanged in 4, 274 deals on Monday.
