The former President stated this while reacting to an earlier statement credited to Buhari Support Groups, BSG, accusing him of plotting to ferry looted funds into the country ahead of the 2019 elections. Atiku who reacted in a statement issued by his media adviser, Paul Ibe, tasked President Buhari and his supporters to take a trip down memory lane before making allegations they could not substantiate. 25 out of the 137 intending Christian Pilgrims for this year’s (2018) pilgrimage from Gombe State have been denied visas by the Israeli authorities. The Executive Secretary of the Gombe State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr. Joseph Iliya Bega who revealed this during the farewell ceremony of the Pilgrims explained that no reason was given by Israel for the denial. He explained however that the affected Pilgrims have been pleaded upon and were asked to forward names of their choices to replace them within the next four days from Monday the 31st December 2018. The Executive Secretary also stated that another eight other Pilgrims had a delay in acquiring their visas but explained that the delay in the visas can only delay their departure but will not deny them the pilgrimage exercise. Kanye West, has reignited his beef with Drake again and this time he is calling him out for following his wife, Kim Kardashian on Instagram. The father of three took to Twitter to attack him after he discovered thst Draks has since followed the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 38, on social media. In a series of Tweet which has now been deleted, the 41-year-old rapper wrote: "I never knew till this morning that Drake followed my wife on Instagram back in September," he tweeted. "I had to bring this up because it’s the most bleeped up thing of all and I just saw it this morning," he added. "Imagine having a problem with somebody and they follow your wife on Instagram." Despite the rant, Kanye still sent positive vibes to Drake adding, "We truly wish this man the best and pray that he will find the same happiness that we have."

A woman is currently at large after hacking her husband to death with an axe during dispute over Christmas gift. Homicide detectives in Mutare are looking for the woman from Chikanga in Mutare, Zimbabwe, who disappeared soon after axing her husband to death following a domestic dispute on December 24. Anesu Mafokosho is alleged to have axed Vitalis Mudhumo, 26, at around 3pm soon after the couple returned home from the city centre where they had gone shopping. The dispute which ended in the death of the husband was sparked by gifts which the couple had bought for their child for Christmas. According to local reports, the couple's union was experiencing some problems and the unresolved marital dispute was threatening their marriage. A suspect identified as Vincent Idumonyi, was apprehended by police operatives after abducting and raping a 16-year-old secondary school girl in Benin city, Edo state. It was gathered that the suspect met his victim on Facebook where she released her phone number to him after they became friends. After a month of chatting, the suspect arranged to meet with the girl in a hotel in the town where he kidnapped her for three days. He threatened to inject her with a deadly substance if she raised an alarm, a situation which led to her being raped by the suspect. Vincent then contacted the girl's family to demand for some money before her release. The family eventually parted ways with N382,000. The victim herself revealed that the suspect who threatened her also with a knife, had sex with her twice in the hotel.

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project(SERAP) has sent an urgent appeal to two UN special rapporteurs urging them to “prevail upon the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to reach an agreement to end the ongoing strike action by ASUU. Some of the federal lawmakers, who spoke with our correspondents on Friday, alleged that the executive arm of government had withheld their money as a form of punishment. The National Assembly increased its budget from N125bn allocated to it in 2017 to N139bn in 2018. They, however, said rather than implement the N139bn allocated to them in 2018, the executive was still paying them based on the N125bn appropriated for them in the 2017 national budget. R&B singer,  Usher Raymond  has officially filed for a divorce from his estranged wife and former manager,  Grace Miguel. This comes after Usher and Miguel confirmed their split in March following multiple lawsuits in which he was accused of infecting people with herpes. But the singer denied the allegations, insisting he had no intentions to cause harm. He also argued that the plaintiffs "assumed the risk" when they consented to have sex with him. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Usher who married Miguel in September 2015, about six years after they began dating, filed for a divorce from her on Friday in Atlanta.  TMZ reports that the legal documents list Dec. 24, 2017 as Usher and Grace's date of separation.  The documents state that the former couple have reached a confidential settlement agreement awaiting court approval. Militants linked to the Islamic State (IS) group have hoisted their flag in a Nigerian town after seizing control of it, three residents have told the BBC. Hundreds of people have fled the fishing town of Baga after the militants overran it on Wednesday night, the residents said. The militants seized weapons from a military base, and torched a naval base on the shores of Lake Chad, they said. The military denied Baga had fallen, saying the attack had been repelled. But PRNigeria, an agency well-connected with the military, quoted an intelligence officer as saying that troops had made a "tactical withdrawal" from their base after coming under attack. "The Nigerian Air Force in response to distress call quickly mobilised military aircraft and flew over 20 sorties [on] Wednesday night and throughout Thursday," it quoted the unnamed officer as saying. Two men have been arrested for robbery in Bayelsa State during the Christmas celebrations in Yenagoa the state capital. One of the suspects was said to have won a jackpot of N4m from a popular football lottery firm about three weeks earlier, before he was arrested over his involvement in armed robbery. According to sources, the suspect was also a popular member of a cult in the area, Punch metro reports. The sources, who said they were surprised by the development, noted that they were expecting the young man to use the money he had won to start a business or trade.
