It seems the issue of domestic violence with women being the perpetrators is on the rise now following a recent attack by another woman on her husband in Gusau, Zamfara state.

While Nigerians are still lamenting the killing of Bilyamin Muhammed Bello, the son ofa former PDP chairman, Haliru Bello, who was stabbed to the death by his wife, Maryam Sanda, over the weekend - here comes another sad news.

According to reports, a woman today attacked her husband in Zamfara state as she stabbed him with a bottle on his shoulder and other parts of his body. The man who survived the gruesome attack and was rushed to the hospital - is said to have been stabbed after a disagreement with his wife.

A baby born with a football-sized cyst on her neck is finally going home after a team of 40 doctors removed the growth from her neck in a gruelling operation. Parents feared the worst when little Bella-Rose Burress was delivered with a growth that was twice the size of her own head. But the one-week-old child has made a full recovery after the meticulous operation in Chicago, Illinois, was successful on August 27. Agents with U.S. Customs and the Drug Enforcement Administration have seized $18 million dollars’ worth of cocaine disguised as banana heading to a prison in Texas.   According to reports, the Wayne Scott Unit Prison Farm outside of Freeport, Texas, received a couple pallets of bananas as a donation. When two sergeants went to pick up the pallets, they found the drugs.   “One of the sergeants noticed one of the boxes didn’t seem quite right, looked a little further, removed that box off the pallets, looked inside and saw something extraordinarily suspicious,” Jeremy Desel with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice told KTRK.   Hidden under bundles of bananas were 540 kilos of cocaine. The Libyan Navy has rescued 199 illegal immigrants, including women and children, while attempting to reach Europe by sea. "A Libyan Coast Guard patrol rescued 179 men, 16 women and 4 children on board rubber boats in the middle of the sea," the Information Office of the Libyan Navy explained. The office added that the immigrants were of different African nationalities, including Nigeria. Four of them were from Egypt. The migrants were handed over to the immigration HQ of the Immigration Control Agency after providing them with humanitarian and medical assistance, according to the Information Office of the Libyan Navy.

According to reports, ten wanted Nigerian mafia gang members including women have been arrested by security operatives in France and Germany. An American woman in Zimbabwe has been jailed for 'insulting' President Robert Mugabe by allegedly tweeting an image of him which suggested he has a catheter from an anonymous account which was still active as she languished behind bars on Saturday. Martha O'Donovan, 25, was arrested on Friday morning at her home near Harare, the country'scapital, and was taken into custody on a charge of insulting or undermining the president and trying to overthrow an elected government.Police say that on October 11, O'Donovan tweeted that Mugabe, 93, is a 'very selfish and sick man' and claimed that he was surviving on a catheter.
