2017 N-Power list of successful candidates set to be released.

The federal government social intervention scheme, N-Power, has released further guidelines for candidates willing to participate in the scheme. Recall the administrators of the scheme, earlier announced to candidates who registered in 2017 that they would be able to check their status by 11:30 pm today, Monday, 20th November, 2017.

  The sch2ieme has now revealed six (6) steps for candidates to check and confirm if they have been pre-selected for the N-Power volunteer scheme.

 1. Candidates are advised to log on to the N-Power official website @
http://www.npower.gov.ng/n-power/search
 2. Click on “check your pre-selection status”.
 3. Type in your name or phone number or email address or BVN in the search box.
4. Your name will pop up if you have been pre-selected. 5. You will receive an SMS and email congratulating you on your pre-selection.
6. Prepare for physical verification between November 27th and December 8th, 2017. The N-Power Volunteer Corps is the post-tertiary engagement initiative for Nigerians between 18 and 35.

It is a paid volunteering programme of a 2-year duration. The graduates will undertake their primary tasks in identified public services within their proximate communities.

British Professor (Woman) goes completely naked again during radio interview to protest Brexit

The professor who went naked days ago to protest Brexit (read  here ) has gone naked again during a Brexit radio interview. Dr Victoria Bateman, an Economics Fellow from the University of Cambridge, appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme to talk about the advantages of the EU. During her discussion with presenter John Humphrys, she took off her coat to reveal she was completely naked underneath. She had the words ‘Brexit leaves Britain naked’ scrawled across her chest. During her interview, she invited leave supporters to strip off and discuss Britain’s withdrawal from the EU. A man identified as Engineer Simput Eagles Dafup has been arrested for allegedly converting one Miss Nabila Umar Sanda Galadima from Islam to Christianity on a flight from United Kingdom. The man was arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS after a raid on his home in Jos, Plateau state. 18-year-old Nabila, a daughter of a traditional title holder in Biu, Borno State had converted toChristianity while at Birmingham University and had met Dafup, a lecturer, in Ghana four years ago on a flight. A begger in lagos Nigeria earn N300,000 in a month

Kehinde Olatubosun, 56, from Ibadan, Oyo State, was arrested on Saturday night along with 18 other drug addicts at a joint in Ipodo, Ikeja. PremiumTimes reports that a team of Rapid Response Squad Decoy had on Monday night traced a stolen phone to the joint, leading to the arrest of a three-man gang mobile phone thieves, three hard drug peddlers and 13 drug addicts, the police said in a statement on Sunday. 'Rambo' suspect Yves Rausch held in Black Forest after five-day hunt

German police have arrested a suspected gunman nicknamed "Rambo" after a five-day manhunt in the Black Forest. Yves Rausch, 31, is said to have fled into the forest near Oppenau, in south-west Germany, on Sunday after threatening four police officers and taking their pistols. An elite unit, helicopters, thermal detectors and sniffer dogs had been deployed to find him. After his arrest, officers seized four firearms, according to a statement. A postal worker gave police information which helped lead to his arrest and one person was injured during the operation, Germany's Bild daily is reporting. U.S Cautions: Don’t Obey Illegal Directives Issued In Buhari’s Name

The United States has again warned Nigerian political leaders of severe sanctions if their comments incite the people to violence that disrupts the smooth conduct of the general election. The U.S. ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington, also warned public officials not to be deceived by politicians who may issue illegal directives to them using the name of President Muhammadu Buhari. Mr Symington gave the warning on Thursday in Makurdi, Benue State. He was speaking with journalists after his meeting with the state governor, Samuel Ortom.
