2017 N-Power list of successful candidates set to be released.

The federal government social intervention scheme, N-Power, has released further guidelines for candidates willing to participate in the scheme. Recall the administrators of the scheme, earlier announced to candidates who registered in 2017 that they would be able to check their status by 11:30 pm today, Monday, 20th November, 2017.

  The sch2ieme has now revealed six (6) steps for candidates to check and confirm if they have been pre-selected for the N-Power volunteer scheme.

 1. Candidates are advised to log on to the N-Power official website @
http://www.npower.gov.ng/n-power/search
 2. Click on “check your pre-selection status”.
 3. Type in your name or phone number or email address or BVN in the search box.
4. Your name will pop up if you have been pre-selected. 5. You will receive an SMS and email congratulating you on your pre-selection.
6. Prepare for physical verification between November 27th and December 8th, 2017. The N-Power Volunteer Corps is the post-tertiary engagement initiative for Nigerians between 18 and 35.

It is a paid volunteering programme of a 2-year duration. The graduates will undertake their primary tasks in identified public services within their proximate communities.

Supporters of Julie Briskman, who was fired from her job after she was photographed raising the middle finger to Donald Trump's motorcade, have raised more than $61,000 in a crowdfunding effort. A nursing mother in Lagos is seeking help on how to handle her husband who has over the years subjected her to serious domestic violence. Apple Denies Iphone Sales Ban In China - Phones

US chip-maker Qualcomm claims it has won an injunction against Apple that effectively bans the import and sale of a number of iPhone models, ranging from the iPhone 6S to the iPhone X. The preliminary order, issued by a Chinese court, is the latest in step a continuing feud between the two tech giants over intellectual property. However, Apple says all of its iPhone models remain on sale in the country. The disputed patents relate to software rather than hardware. The injunction affects devices running older versions of Apple’s iOS operating system and not those running the latest version, iOS 12. Cops Who Killed Osaze Osagie, Nigerian Student In US, Cleared Of Charges

State College cops who killed Osaze Osagie, a Nigerian student in the United States, have been cleared of all charges. The police officers had implemented the use of force while serving a mental health warrant that resulted in the death of Osaze Osagie on March 20. According to a the Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna, the officers were in a “life-and-death situation” when they shot Osagie who was approaching them with a 5.16-inch steak knife, Onwardstate reports. Osagie died of multiple gunshot wounds after the confrontation at his apartment on Old Boalsburg Road.
