FIFA bans three former presidents for life as part of crackdown on corruption

The ethics committee of World football governing body, (FIFA) has placed a lifetime ban on former presidents of the Guam, Nicaraguan and Venezuelan football associations for corruption. Ex-Guam FA boss Richard Lai, a former Asian Football Confederation(AFC) official, and FIFA committee member, pleaded guilty to fraud in the United States after an investigation into his case was opened in April.

Lai was banned from all football-related activities alongside, a formerVenezuelan FA chief Rafael Esquiveland ex-Nicaraguan FA president Julio Rocha who both also pleaded guilty in the United States to separate federal charges ranging from wire fraud to racketeering and money laundering.

Meanwhile, three more ex-South American football bosses, Peru's Manuel Burga, Brazilian Jose Maria Marin and Juan Angel Napout of Paraguay are also on trial in New York. They have also pleaded not guilty to charges of fraud, money-laundering, and racketeering.

Real Madrid have won their third FIFA Club World Cup trophy in a row after a 4-1 win against AL Ain. Ballon D'or winner modric opened the scoring in the first half with a by curling a shot from the edge of the box into the corner. Al Ain cleared a corner to the edge of the area where Marcos Llorente waited and fired low to double Madrid's advantage. MySportDab report Sergio Ramos scored from a corner before Tsukasa Shiotani grabbed a consolation goal. Yahia Nader scored an own goal to cap off Madrid's victory on Saturday.

A Nigerian woman, Julesville Omalicha on Facebook raised concern on social media over teenage girl who lives in a trash site in Lagos and her viral post got the homeless girl medical attention. According to her,  'I recently started seeing this little girl, a teenager roaming the streets of Ajegunle. And i will be wondering where she came from, where her parents or guardians are? Thinking of how to help her. I stopped one day to make friends with her. I brought out 100 naira to give her and see if i can elicit any info from her. But she ran off before i got to where she was standing. Today, i saw her sleeping on a heap of refuse at New road bus stop, Bale street, Ajegunle. This place is close to St Charles Catholic church and the Local government Chairman's family house. I took the first pic. Then went closer. She is still breathing. I think she is sick'.
