Nigerian Migrant Stabs Her Baby To Death In Germany

A 30-year-old Nigerian asylum seeker has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her 2-year-old baby to death at a refugee camp in Cologne, Germany.

According to the police, the baby was discovered in the room, with massive injuries, and an autopsy is set to be carried out to clarify the exact cause of her death.

Residents noted that the lady, from Edo State, had always taken good care of her daughter, but yesterday, she started displaying signs of insanity and was singing African songs.

The Kano State Police Command confirmed onSaturday that three girls died of suffocation inside a parked car in Sabon Gari area of Kano metropolis. The car has been parked there for more than one year; the girls were playing around it and later locked themselves inside. Apparently, they could not open the door and there was no one around to assist them. Three of them died of suffocation while one survived,” Magaji Majiya, spokesman of the command, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).He said that the incident happened “around 3 p.m. on Friday”. A junior doctor was beheaded by her boyfriend after she refused to marry him, police say. The boyfriend then tried to take his own life but failed. 26-year-old Shyngys Bekenov, a teacher, proposed to his girlfriend Nazerke Bekzhanova, 21, who had recently graduated from medical university in Kazakhstan. But Nazerke refused to accept the proposal because her parents did not approve of him, it is believed. Angered by her rejection, Shyngys severed his girlfriend's head as they sat in his car. He then tried but failed to end his own life by stabbing himself in the abdomen after writing a suicide note asking that they should be buried together, according to police. His note claimed he had beheaded the woman after she told him she would marry him, it was reported.
