Nigerian Migrant Stabs Her Baby To Death In Germany

A 30-year-old Nigerian asylum seeker has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her 2-year-old baby to death at a refugee camp in Cologne, Germany.

According to the police, the baby was discovered in the room, with massive injuries, and an autopsy is set to be carried out to clarify the exact cause of her death.

Residents noted that the lady, from Edo State, had always taken good care of her daughter, but yesterday, she started displaying signs of insanity and was singing African songs.

Judgement on P&ID $8.9billion Gas Contract Is A Daylight Robbery – Magu The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has commenced an investigation into the circumstances leading to the $8.9billion arbitral award against Nigeria by a United Kingdom Court over alleged breach of gas contract agreement between it and Process and Industrial Development Limited. Abdullahi Babalele, son-in-law of Atiku Abubakar was docked today on a new charge of laundering $140,000. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission who brought him before Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, did not state the recipient of the money, but it fits the N50million gift sent by Atiku to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, days before the election. Babalele faces a two-count charge bordering on money laundering to the tune of $140,000.00. He allegedly persuaded one Bashir Mohammed, a Bureau De Change( BDC) operator, to make a cash payment of the sum of $140,000 without going through any financial institution, an offence contrary to Section 18(c) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011 as amended and punishable under Section 16(2)(b) of the same Act.
