Facebook Headquarters Evacuated Following Bomb Threat

Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California has been evacuated after a bomb scare.

The building housing employees for both Facebook and Instagram was emptied after police received an anonymous phone call alerting them about the threat.

Local police were on site quickly and swept the building for explosives. They later issued an update that the building has been given the all clear. There were no bombs or suspicious packages discovered at the social media giant’s headquarters.

A Nigerian man named David Ukesone who boarded a flight for the first time in his life, has been hospitalized after being tied with sit belt on a flight from Nigeria to Chicago on the 23rd of January, 2018. WgnTV Reports that Ukesone had never been on a plane before, and it was his first time flying, according to his family. His children said there was no issue on his flight from Nigeria to Dubai. But from Dubai to Chicago, there was a misunderstanding that led to their father being restrained for more than eight-hours ultimately sending him to the hospital. Federal Government releases N42.68b for ASUU, Nigeria Airways ex-workers

The Federal Government has released N22.68 billion for the settlement of retirement benefits of former workers of the defunct Nigeria Airways Limited (NAL). The other N20 billion is for the revitalization of public universities in line with demands of the Academic Staff of Universities (ASUU). Newly appointed Finance Minister Hajia Zainab Ahmed, who broke the news yesterday to reporters in Abuja noted that the initial submission regarding the retirement benefits of ex-NAL workers in liquidation was N78 billion.
