Magnitude 4.9 earthquake strikes 30 miles from Iran's sole nuclear power plant just two weeks after a similar quake in the region

The 4.9 magnitude earthquake struck about six miles southeast of Borazjan in Iran's south-west early on Wednesday, with a depth of six miles experts reported
Location of the quake is about 30 miles from the nuclear power plant in Bushehr.

It came on the same the day Iran attacked U.S. troops with missiles and a passenger plane carrying 176 people crashed after taking off from Tehran.

It is the second earthquake to hit the region in the last two weeks after a 5.1 magnitude earthquake hit the same area near the power plant on December 26

An American woman in Zimbabwe has been jailed for 'insulting' President Robert Mugabe by allegedly tweeting an image of him which suggested he has a catheter from an anonymous account which was still active as she languished behind bars on Saturday. Martha O'Donovan, 25, was arrested on Friday morning at her home near Harare, the country'scapital, and was taken into custody on a charge of insulting or undermining the president and trying to overthrow an elected government.Police say that on October 11, O'Donovan tweeted that Mugabe, 93, is a 'very selfish and sick man' and claimed that he was surviving on a catheter. A Virginia bishop who defied warnings about the danger of religious gatherings during the pandemic and vowed to keep preaching “unless I’m in jail or the hospital” died over the weekend after contracting Covid-19, his church said. The bishop, Gerald O. Glenn, 66, the founder and pastor of New Deliverance Evangelistic Church in Chesterfield, Va., died on Saturday night, according to Bryan Nevers, a church elder. Mr. Nevers announced the death of Bishop Glenn during an Easter sermon, which was posted on the Facebook page of the Richmond-area Pentecostal congregation. Nigerian Fraudsters Jailed Over £610k Fraud In The U.K

A gang of Nigerian fraudsters who stole £610,000 from business bank accounts have been sentenced. Inner London Crown Court heard how Victor Oke, 39, used stolen data provided by Desmond Uyiosa Abifade, 25, to falsely impersonate company directors via telephone banking. Once Oke gained access, he diverted funds to ‘mule’ beneficiary accounts monitored by Moses Kuye, 28. Melinda Mensah-Oke, 37, impersonated company directors when a female voice was necessary, while Arinola Kuye, 27, acted as the group’s money launderer.All five were charged with conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation, which they pleaded not guilty to. On Wednesday, Oke was sentenced to four years in prison, while Moses Kuye was jailed for three years and three months.Mensah-Oke received a fourteen month suspended sentence and Abifade a two year suspended sentence. Arinola Kuye was given a12 month community order and instructed to complete 50 hours of unpaid work.
