Davido: My Godfather Is Captain Hosa Idahosa Wells Okunbo (Photos)

Nigeria pop super star David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has just revealed his God father for the first time and you can’t believe who he was. The ‘Assurance’ crooner who recently gave insights into his upbringing and rise to fame has revealed that Captain Idahosa Wells Okunbo (Hosa) is his God -Father.

Idahosa Wells Okunbo is a Nigerian business magnate, investor, philanthropist and trained commercial pilot. He serves as either chairman or director on numerous company boards in Nigeria, spanning multiple business sectors such as the agro-allied, petroleum, telecommunications, power, real estate and banking industries.

Davido made a post on Instagram saying:

“I wanna say a big Thank you to my Godfather Capt Hosa for making this possible! Also wanna say a Big thank you to the Chagoury’s for hosting me in their beautiful home and a lovely dinner !! BACK ON TRACK WE ANNOUNCE MY DECEMBER CONCERT IN 2 DAYS!!

'Nigerian Government Refuses To Account For $4 Billion Abacha Loot' – Falana

Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, has accused the Nigerian Government of failing to account for the $4bn recovered from late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha. Falana also said that since 1999, the government had recovered about $4bn of public funds stolen by Abacha but that Nigerians were not aware of how the fund was expended by the government. Falana, who spoke at the Anti-Corruption Situation Room conference organised by Human and Environmental Development Agenda, which focused on reviewing efforts of state and non-state actors in the fight against corruption in Nigeria. Over 2000 Nigerian girls who were brought to Russia last year for the FIFA World Cup under the guise of being football fans have been forced into sex slavery, prostitution by the traffickers who brought them into the country. Blessing Obuson, a teenager from Edo state, pictured below was one of them. According to a Reuters report, Blessing Obuson thought Russia’s soccer World Cup would be an opportunity to find a job and flew into Moscow from Nigeria last June on a fan ID.
