US Woman Reunites With Daughter 70 Years After She Was Told She Died In Labour

For nearly 70 years, an American woman Genevieve Purinton believed the baby she gave birth to in Indiana had died in the hospital.

However on Monday, 3rd December, she met that baby girl, now a 69-year-old woman named Connie Moultroup.

“Because she was an unmarried mother, she was told that I had died. She continued with her life not knowing I was still alive” Moultroup said.

Moultroup, who was adopted and raised in California, decided last year to use a DNA ancestry test to look for her birth mother. The two finally met in Tampa on Monday. “It was just a crying fest,” she said.

A Nigerian man has tested positive for deadly Wuhan coronavirus in the United States of America. This was announced on Saturday night by the Mayor of District of Columbia (DC), Muriel Bowser, in a news conference. GLOBAL TIMES learnt that the man whose name is yet to be ascertained, lives in Nigeria and is in his 50s, but had been staying with his family members in Washington recently. Former Brazilian international Ronaldinho Gaucho was ordered to remain in jail in Paraguay on Saturday after a judge ruled him a flight risk. The ex-Barcelona forward was arrested on Friday for attempting to enter Paraguay with a false passport two days earlier and spent Friday night in a police cell along with his brother and business manager Roberto Assis. The pair asked to be released into house arrest but that was rejected by the judge, who also dismissed Assis’s claims to have a heart problem because he showed no proof. Judge Clara Ruiz Diaz said their alleged offence was a "serious one against the interests of the Paraguayan state". Because the pair posed a flight risk they must remain in custody, she added. Anyone living in Lombardy and 14 other central and northern provinces will need special permission to travel. Milan and Venice are both affected. A junior doctor was beheaded by her boyfriend after she refused to marry him, police say. The boyfriend then tried to take his own life but failed. 26-year-old Shyngys Bekenov, a teacher, proposed to his girlfriend Nazerke Bekzhanova, 21, who had recently graduated from medical university in Kazakhstan. A Nigerian man named David Ukesone who boarded a flight for the first time in his life, has been hospitalized after being tied with sit belt on a flight from Nigeria to Chicago on the 23rd of January, 2018.
