US Woman Reunites With Daughter 70 Years After She Was Told She Died In Labour

For nearly 70 years, an American woman Genevieve Purinton believed the baby she gave birth to in Indiana had died in the hospital.

However on Monday, 3rd December, she met that baby girl, now a 69-year-old woman named Connie Moultroup.

“Because she was an unmarried mother, she was told that I had died. She continued with her life not knowing I was still alive” Moultroup said.

Moultroup, who was adopted and raised in California, decided last year to use a DNA ancestry test to look for her birth mother. The two finally met in Tampa on Monday. “It was just a crying fest,” she said.

Boko Haram Tries To Take Over Military Base In Borno

Boko Haram fighters battled Nigerian soldiers for about an hour on Wednesday as they tried to take over a military base, in the latest attack against troops in the restive northeast. A former local government official, a civilian militia member and a motorist who witnessed the shooting said the Islamist militants tried to storm the outpost in the village of Mainok in Borno state. Troops managed to repel the attack with the help of reinforcements but it comes after a series of similar raids targeting soldiers that is likely to stoke fears of a resurgence. Wife of the President, Dr. Aisha Buhari has reacted to the claims by singer Timi Dakolo that “some strange men” made attempts to invade his residence. A Nigerian man named David Ukesone who boarded a flight for the first time in his life, has been hospitalized after being tied with sit belt on a flight from Nigeria to Chicago on the 23rd of January, 2018. WgnTV Reports that Ukesone had never been on a plane before, and it was his first time flying, according to his family. His children said there was no issue on his flight from Nigeria to Dubai.
