My Oil Block And How I Became Nigeria's Richest Woman: Folorunso Alakija

By -
Nigeria’s richest woman, Folorunso Alakija, has revealed how the oil block which allocated and licensed to her company came to be the chief cornerstone in West Africa and Africa as a whole after initially being rejected by most oil companies years ago.

Mrs. Alakija also revealed how her company fought the government in court for 12 years over profit sharing and became victorious as she attributed the victory to God. Below is what the Oil tycoon and billionaire shared on her social media page; My encounter with the glory of God... When I got to my wit’s end, I covenanted with God for blessings in return for a life long work and walk with Him.

To say that I did not see HIS Glory come into my life would mean I have turned God into a liar. It is only God who could have brought me from the back burner to the front burner. He Himself orchestrated and organized by divine intervention, the beginning and continuation of our delving into the oil industry.

The oil block allocated and licensed to us was not wanted by any oil company; we accepted it by faith and it has become the chief cornerstone in West African and Africa as a whole. The Government came back to “take” 50% out of our 60%, but after a 12 year battle incourt, all was restored to the glory of God. God has continued to be faithful as to be expected and I am here today as part of my fulfillment of my obligations to that covenant.

Therefore Receive the anointing to prosper. Receive the anointing for God’s Glory. Receive the anointing for God to single you out for upliftment and promotion.Don’t lose heart, don’t lose hope……………
Await that coming glory upon you in Jesus Name AMEN!

Tensions between China and the UK continue to mount over plans for a new security law in Hong Kong, after Boris Johnson said he would allow Hong Kong residents citizenship in response to China's recent crack down Beijing has warned they will "strike back" against the UK as tensions continue to mount over a new security law. The law, in China, will alter Hong Kong's mini-constitution, or Basic Law, to require its government to enforce measures to be decided later by Chinese leaders. China's ceremonial legislature, the National People's Congress, endorsed a security law for Hong Kong earlier this week that has strained relations with the UK and the US. The law led to Boris Johnson saying he is ready to open the door to nearly three million Hong Kong citizens if China imposes it, which critics say would rob the territory of its autonomy. The Prime Minister, writing in The Times, has offered to make what he says would be one of the "biggest changes" in t...

With over nine million Nigerian women said to be pregnant every year, only about 3.6 million have access to antenatal care and about 2.4 million of them tested for HIV. This was disclosed by Head, Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT), Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Ijaodola Olugbenga. He said of the 2.4 million pregnant women that get testing for HIV/AIDS in the country annually, at least 64,000 of them are positive to the virus every year. Stating this during a two-day media dialogue on PMTCT in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, recently organised by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture (FMIC), he said the gap between pregnant women and those who are eventually tested for HIV is big because only 3.6 million access antenatal care. “The remaining five million plus do not access antenatal, both in private or public healthcare facilities, hence it is difficult getting them to undergo HIV tests, in other to...
