Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has said insulting leaders on social media will not change how things are in Nigeria.
In a statement on his official Facebook page, the governor advised youth who wish to chase old people from power to join a party and participate in the process.

He said, ”Young people think insulting leaders on social media will change the way things are in Nigeria.”No one would hand over the mantle of leadership to you simply because you’re young.”If you want to chase “old people” from positions of power, you must join a party and participate in the process no matter how bad, dirty and dangerous you think it is.”  @shapasu

When two sergeants went to pick up the pallets, they found the drugs.   “One of the sergeants noticed one of the boxes didn’t seem quite right, looked a little further, removed that box off the pallets, looked inside and saw something extraordinarily suspicious,” Jeremy Desel with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice told KTRK.   Hidden under bundles of bananas were 540 kilos of cocaine. Jonathan: How Jega's INEC Conspired Against Me In 2015

By -
Image
Ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan has insinuated that a vast conspiracy by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC was partly responsible for his loss in 2015, PoliticsNGR has learned. Jonathan, who was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP  lost to President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC on March 31st 2015, marking the first time an opposition party wins an election in Nigeria. In his book, 'My Transition Hours' launched in Abuja on Tuesday, Jonathan wrote; "For some inexplicable reason, the INEC had been able to achieve near 100% distribution of Permanent Voter Cards in the North, including the North East, which was under siege with Boko Haram insurgency but failed to record a similar level of distribution in the South which was relatively more peaceful,”. Social media was filled with all manner of stories, pictures and videos. I had settled in my mind that I was not going to be the sitting president pointing out these ...

US Support For Atiku, A Major Boost To His Candidacy 2019

By -
Image
On 17th of January 2019, had Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Senate President, Bukola Saraki, landing in Washington D.C, U.S. As opposed to speculations, the presidential candidate visited the US, to meet with the US Chamber of Commerce, the US Congress, Nigerians in Diaspora and the Business community. Speculations of a likely US support of an Atiku presidency have been on and out, but the candidate gave life to the speculation when he referenced the huge support he enjoys across the US government, in an Interview in Hausa by VOA’s Aliyu Mustapha. Atiku when asked about the US support for him, stated; “There is no doubt because the United State is ready to support any country that is practicing democracy.” Recall that the U.S African Mission in a tweet, stated that there are 13.5m out of school children in 2018. What many saw as a normal tweet, was misread by many as a frontal US support for Atiku’s candidacy. Also, considering that the Government of Donald Trump and the policies of Atiku ...

Is Abortion the same thing as Murder ?

By -
I was pondering this morning about murder , you know , with all the disturbing front page articles on murder and the gruesome pictures shown. I started thinking , how can people be so heartless and lacking in empathy to the extent of not just killing a fellow being but doing so in a manner that is savagely barbaric. These murderers must have mental health issues, anger problems or just plain evil built into their DNA. Following this thinking, I began to wonder, but what about abortion, is it murder and if yes, is there a difference between a murderer who kills a grown man or woman, and someone who aborts a fetus. Few things to consider about the Fetus - The fetus is in a sort of oblivious state of being as it pertains to consciousness - The fetus is not fully formed as a human being, so perhaps may not yet be a human being - The fetus may be the result of a rape or unintended consequences ( such as intercourse between two careless people ) - The fetus may possess a deformity that if a...

These are the world's biggest exporters

By -
Image
For the first time in decades, trade barriers appear to be increasing around the world. Brexit negotiations have helped to create an environment of uncertainty, while the introduction of American tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum – along with the resulting retaliatory measures – have created more tangible barriers to international trade. Now, there is now even rhetoric coming from D.C. about adding tariffs to   $200 billion of goods   coming from China, and NAFTA renegotiations have long been on President Trump’s agenda. The G7 meeting in Canada also gave recent indications on the state of the existing trade atmosphere. For the first time in recent memory, the meeting of Western leaders was tense, resulting in name-calling and accusations, giving the impression that the worst could be yet to come. Who are the world's biggest exporters? As the environment around trade shifts, it’s worth noting the countries that have the biggest stakes in inter...
