Yahoo Boy Who Posed As US Army OfficerTo Scam Ladies Arrested (Photo)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibadan Zonal Office has arrested a suspected undergraduate internet scammer, Ilesanmi Babatunde Yemi, 31, a final year Accounting student of Ekiti State University for alleged Internet fraud. Babatunde who poses on the internet as an American Army Officer by the name Dennis Martinez allegedly serving in Libya engages in Internet love and romance scams.

He engages unsuspecting ladies on the internet in a dating and romance scam through which he fleeces them of their money. Last of his victims were the duo of Sandra Simundza and Lily F, both in Australia, from whom he claimed to have obtained about Five hundred dollars in tranches. Babatunde, according to series of intelligence gathered by the Commission, allegedly lives anostentatious life without a definite job.

He confessed to have been engaged actively in internet romance scam in the last four years from which he sustained his flamboyant lifestyle and bought himself a 2005 Lexus car with registration number Lagos MUS 404 DX. Being a Part time student, he also confessed tohave spent most of his time on the dating sites, particularly tinder and okculpid from which he meets his victims.

Operatives have recovered several items from him. They include: One laptop Apple macbook Pro, three ATM cards, one iphone 6 x plus, one Nokia phone and one international Passport. Several love scam mails were also found and downloaded from his laptops.

US chip-maker Qualcomm claims it has won an injunction against Apple that effectively bans the import and sale of a number of iPhone models, ranging from the iPhone 6S to the iPhone X. The preliminary order, issued by a Chinese court, is the latest in step a continuing feud between the two tech giants over intellectual property. However, Apple says all of its iPhone models remain on sale in the country. The disputed patents relate to software rather than hardware. The injunction affects devices running older versions of Apple’s iOS operating system and not those running the latest version, iOS 12. Buhari’s Son Remain In Coma As Doctors Discover Additional InjuriesYusuf Buhari, the son of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari who was hospitalized in Abuja after a ghastly motorbike crash has not regained his ability to speak but doctors handling his treatment said he is gradually showing sign of recovery. Yesterday, the younger Buhari who sustained a head injury and a broken limb indicated to doctors repeatedly about his hand. A check on the hand showed it was fractured, leading doctors to embark on immediate treatment. A presidency source told Saharareporters that since Yusuf was admitted to Cedarcrest Hospital in Abuja he has not regained his speech due to traumatic brain injury.
