The founder and senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Suleman Johnson, has been heavily criticized by some Nigerians after arriving in style for a church programme surrounded by police escorts. One of the police escorts opened the door of the vehicle for the pastor as he arrived the church premises.

Online users were quick to react after the pictures were shared as some criticized him for moving around with security to the extent ofthem opening car doors for him while others argued that his own security is very necessary and nothing is wrong with that.

Oshiomhole condemned the statements at the Presidential Villa after the APC Senate caucus and the party’s senatorial candidates met with President Muhammadu Buhari. “Nigeria is not a colony. We will not accept any foreign interference in the internal affairs of Nigeria,” he said. He argued that judges get dismissed in Europe and the United States without interference. “They (judges) have been dismissed across the world when they are found guilty of corruption and the western world cannot, on the one hand when it suits them, describe Nigeria as fantastically corrupt and when a corrupt judicial officer is being charged, people want to interfere.” Oshiomhole’s comments were in reaction to questions about the criticism that had trailed the suspension of the CJN. 'Rambo' suspect Yves Rausch held in Black Forest after five-day hunt

German police have arrested a suspected gunman nicknamed "Rambo" after a five-day manhunt in the Black Forest. Yves Rausch, 31, is said to have fled into the forest near Oppenau, in south-west Germany, on Sunday after threatening four police officers and taking their pistols. An elite unit, helicopters, thermal detectors and sniffer dogs had been deployed to find him. After his arrest, officers seized four firearms, according to a statement. A postal worker gave police information which helped lead to his arrest and one person was injured during the operation, Germany's Bild daily is reporting. The President of the Omega Fire Ministries worldwide (OFM), Apostle Johnson Suleman, has lent his voice to the burning issue on tithing stoked by an OAP, Daddy Freeze.
