The founder and senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Suleman Johnson, has been heavily criticized by some Nigerians after arriving in style for a church programme surrounded by police escorts. One of the police escorts opened the door of the vehicle for the pastor as he arrived the church premises.

Online users were quick to react after the pictures were shared as some criticized him for moving around with security to the extent ofthem opening car doors for him while others argued that his own security is very necessary and nothing is wrong with that.

An American woman in Zimbabwe has been jailed for 'insulting' President Robert Mugabe by allegedly tweeting an image of him which suggested he has a catheter from an anonymous account which was still active as she languished behind bars on Saturday. Martha O'Donovan, 25, was arrested on Friday morning at her home near Harare, the country'scapital, and was taken into custody on a charge of insulting or undermining the president and trying to overthrow an elected government.Police say that on October 11, O'Donovan tweeted that Mugabe, 93, is a 'very selfish and sick man' and claimed that he was surviving on a catheter. Some workers at the national assembly created a scene on Monday, after Biodun Olujimi, senator representing Ekiti south, allegedly asked her aide to assault a member of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN). The lawmaker was reportedly irked by the decision of the PASAN member to ride in an elevator with her. The senator was on her way to the public hearing of the senate committee on petroleum downstream, investigating the N5 trillion subsidy payment to the Nigerian National Petroleum Commission (NNPC). N1.3bn fraud: Obanikoro to testify against Fayose in court

According to this tweet by Ayo Fayose, former Minister of State for Defense, Musiliu Obanikoro, will be one of the witnesses the EFCC will be presenting when he is charged to court. Fayose was invited by the anti-graft agency over allegations that he gave N1.3 billion to Obanikoro to rig the 2014 governorship election in Ekiti state. The money was allegedly released from the office of former National Security Officer, Namadi Sambo, and is part of the $2.1 billion arms procurement fund allegedly wasted by the former administration.
