Nigerians Protest At UK Embassy Over $9.6bn Judgement (Photos)

Protesters have stormed the United Kingdom High Commission in Abuja over a court judgement which granted Process and Industrial Development Ltd to take over $9.6 billion worth of Nigeria’s asset.

The protesters, identified as Coalition of Civil Society Groups, began their protest on Monday and have vowed to continue their action for the next one week until the judgement is reversed.

Some of their placards read: “$9.6bn judgement is a fraud,” “Nigeria and Britain are friends, not enemies,” “No to illegal takeover of our national assets,” “Nigeria rejects fraudulent judgment from British judge.”

British Professor (Woman) goes completely naked again during radio interview to protest Brexit

The professor who went naked days ago to protest Brexit (read  here ) has gone naked again during a Brexit radio interview. Dr Victoria Bateman, an Economics Fellow from the University of Cambridge, appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme to talk about the advantages of the EU. During her discussion with presenter John Humphrys, she took off her coat to reveal she was completely naked underneath. She had the words ‘Brexit leaves Britain naked’ scrawled across her chest. During her interview, she invited leave supporters to strip off and discuss Britain’s withdrawal from the EU. She said: I invite Jacob Rees-Mogg to do a naked debate with me and we will get to the roots of this issue. A man identified as Engineer Simput Eagles Dafup has been arrested for allegedly converting one Miss Nabila Umar Sanda Galadima from Islam to Christianity on a flight from United Kingdom. The man was arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS after a raid on his home in Jos, Plateau state. 18-year-old Nabila, a daughter of a traditional title holder in Biu, Borno State had converted toChristianity while at Birmingham University and had met Dafup, a lecturer, in Ghana four years ago on a flight. It was said Nabila had recently reconnected with Dafup who was visiting Jos for the Christmas break and expressed her intentions to fully convert to Christianity. In the video, a lady and a man had argument over misunderstanding, the lady slapped the man, the man retaliated and gave her a heavy slap that saw her staggering. Kehinde Olatubosun, 56, from Ibadan, Oyo State, was arrested on Saturday night along with 18 other drug addicts at a joint in Ipodo, Ikeja. PremiumTimes reports that a team of Rapid Response Squad Decoy had on Monday night traced a stolen phone to the joint, leading to the arrest of a three-man gang mobile phone thieves, three hard drug peddlers and 13 drug addicts, the police said in a statement on Sunday. 'Rambo' suspect Yves Rausch held in Black Forest after five-day hunt

German police have arrested a suspected gunman nicknamed "Rambo" after a five-day manhunt in the Black Forest. Yves Rausch, 31, is said to have fled into the forest near Oppenau, in south-west Germany, on Sunday after threatening four police officers and taking their pistols. An elite unit, helicopters, thermal detectors and sniffer dogs had been deployed to find him. After his arrest, officers seized four firearms, according to a statement. A postal worker gave police information which helped lead to his arrest and one person was injured during the operation, Germany's Bild daily is reporting. U.S Cautions: Don’t Obey Illegal Directives Issued In Buhari’s Name

The United States has again warned Nigerian political leaders of severe sanctions if their comments incite the people to violence that disrupts the smooth conduct of the general election. The U.S. ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington, also warned public officials not to be deceived by politicians who may issue illegal directives to them using the name of President Muhammadu Buhari. Mr Symington gave the warning on Thursday in Makurdi, Benue State. He was speaking with journalists after his meeting with the state governor, Samuel Ortom. According to a report of the encounter monitored on Channels TV, Mr Symington cautioned against taking implementing illegal directives to manipulate the elections. Lady Caught Stealing After Drugging Man Who Took Her Home From Club (Photos)

Men have been warned to be careful of the ladies they take home from nightclubs or bars following an incident which has gone viral on social media. According to reports, a lady in a bid to rob a man who took her to his home, allegedly drugged him after a drinking spree. It was gathered that the yet-to-be identified lady was already stealing his household items after the man passed out but was caught by the neighbors who saw her in action. The lady was apprehended by the neighbors but rescued by the police who prevented her from being lynched, according to reports. The drugged man had to be dragged out of his home by the neighbors after the lady had been arrested. Facebook user Sandra John shared the video of the incident but didn't give the exact location where it happened.
