Nigerians Protest At UK Embassy Over $9.6bn Judgement (Photos)

Protesters have stormed the United Kingdom High Commission in Abuja over a court judgement which granted Process and Industrial Development Ltd to take over $9.6 billion worth of Nigeria’s asset.

The protesters, identified as Coalition of Civil Society Groups, began their protest on Monday and have vowed to continue their action for the next one week until the judgement is reversed.

Some of their placards read: “$9.6bn judgement is a fraud,” “Nigeria and Britain are friends, not enemies,” “No to illegal takeover of our national assets,” “Nigeria rejects fraudulent judgment from British judge.”

Buhari’s Son Remain In Coma As Doctors Discover Additional InjuriesYusuf Buhari, the son of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari who was hospitalized in Abuja after a ghastly motorbike crash has not regained his ability to speak but doctors handling his treatment said he is gradually showing sign of recovery. Yesterday, the younger Buhari who sustained a head injury and a broken limb indicated to doctors repeatedly about his hand. A check on the hand showed it was fractured, leading doctors to embark on immediate treatment. A presidency source told Saharareporters that since Yusuf was admitted to Cedarcrest Hospital in Abuja he has not regained his speech due to traumatic brain injury. Yusuf was drag racing with a friend, Bashir Gwandu when they both crashed in Gwanripa neighborhood in Nigeria’s federal capital, Abuja. A Clinical Microbiologist, Dr Tony Mbume, has advised women to stop wearing tight jeans, synthetic panties and leggings, to prevent vaginal infections. According to him, most Nigerian females wear these synthetic pants, leggings and tight jeans in the name of fashion, without considering the health implications. Mbume, who works with CIAGIN Medical Laboratory, Oke-Afa, Isolo, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that synthetic wears caused the vagina to ‘overheat’, which could disrupt its ecosystem.
