China Test Runs New ₦4.1t Daxing Int'l Airport Ahead Of Official Opening

Shanghai-based airlines on Friday completed the first massive test run at the Beijing's new starfish-shaped Daxing International Airport to assess its operational readiness and fix possible problems.





The test runs, which lasted nearly 6 hours and involved more than 6,000 participants, saw China Eastern airline deploy over 1,100 simulated passengers, 400 pieces of check-in luggage machines, 122 support vehicles and 80 information systems for the trial. A facial recognition check-in facility was also unveiled for the first time.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's Stasi ID card found in German archives

CNN) The discovery of an East German secret police ID card wouldn't normally attract much attention, but things get a lot more interesting when it's Vladimir Putin's. Issued in 1985, the document belonged to the then mid-ranking Soviet officer, now the President of Russia.  At the time, Putin worked for the KGB spy service as a liaison with the East German State Security Service (Staatssicherheitsdienst), nicknamed the "Stasi." From 1985 to 1990, Putin was stationed in Dresden, East Germany. The German newspaper Bild says the ID card found in the archives proves Putin was working for the Stasi, but the Stasi Records Agency (BStU) says it served a purely practical purpose. Dr Victoria Bateman, an Economics Fellow from the University of Cambridge, appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme to talk about the advantages of the EU. During her discussion with presenter John Humphrys, she took off her coat to reveal she was completely naked underneath. She had the words ‘Brexit leaves Britain naked’ scrawled across her chest. A Nigerian woman, Julesville Omalicha on Facebook raised concern on social media over teenage girl who lives in a trash site in Lagos and her viral post got the homeless girl medical attention.
