The "English Premier League" is currently trending on Twitter and this is after Ramon Olorunwa Abbas a.k.a. “Ray Hushpuppi” was accused of conspiring to steal £100 million from a club in the UK. 

 

The Federal prosecutors who filed a criminal complaint on June 25, alleged that Hushpuppi is "one of the leaders of a transnational network that facilitates computer intrusions, fraudulent schemes (including BEC schemes), and money laundering, targeting victims around the world in schemes designed to steal hundreds of millions of dollars". 

 

In a statement released by the US Department of Justice, the suspected Nigerian fraudster was accused of conspiring to launder hundreds of millions of dollars from other fraudulent schemes and computer intrusions, including one scheme to steal £100 million (approximately $124 million) from an English Premier League soccer club.

 

The suspected Nigerian fraudster who was recently extradited from Dubai to the United States made his first court appearance this morning in Chicago, and he is expected to be transferred to Los Angeles in the coming weeks.

 

If convicted of conspiracy to engage in money laundering, Hushpuppi  would face a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.

The General Overseer, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, Dr Daniel Olukoya, has filed a N10 billion libel suit against the Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, Sahara Reporters Incorporated and the Incorporated Trustees of Sahara Media Foundation, demanding N10bn in damages for their failure to desist from publishing false and malicious articles against him and his church, MFM, since 2013. Nigerian Cocaine Dealer Arrested In Bangkok

Thai police working with the US Drug Enforcement agency have arrested a Nigerian man who they say is an international drug dealer in cocaine. Emmanuel Okwudili Ilichukwu was arrested in Suksawat Soi 26 on two warrants on Thursday, February 22.A force led by deputy tourist police commissioner Surachet Hakpal raided his property where they found a quantity of ganja in a food cupboard. Surachet told the media that the Thais had been working with the DEA to arrest the Nigerian. He had been on their radar but managed to avoid capture before.He had made frequent trips from Bangkok to Nigeria and was involved in packaging cocainein plastic and hiding it in electrical appliances. The drugs found their way to Australia and New Zealand. He was using Bangkok as a base and also dealing drugs in the Thai capital. He has been charged with possession and intent to distribute a class 2 drug (cocaine).

Interpol issues arrest warrant for Diezani Allison-Madueke in UK

The International Police have issued an arrest warrant for former Nigerian Petroleum Minister, Diezani Allison-Madueke following a request by the Federal Government to the agency.
