Adamawa-based clergyman, Bishop Sam Zuga has asked Nigerians to bring anyone diagnosed with Coronavirus to him, promising he would use his ''powers as a pastor ''to heal them.

Bishop Zuga who is the founder of House of Joy Ministry, said this at a crusade for the ''sensitization against Coronavirus'' in Yola, Adamawa State.

The worshippers practiced no form of social distancing during the crusade.

In his words
”No virus can survive in my body, my body is the temple of God, it can’t accommodate anything called virus. Coronavirus is not different from other diseases that God has been using me to heal. A virus cannot decide for me. I will stay at home when I want, not when coronavirus is giving orders. I can’t stop going to church because of a mere virus. How can I dishonor the Creator because of the creature? I cannot help the devil to kill people by forcing them to stay at home and be killed by hunger. There is no difference between those who died of Coronavirus and who died of hunger. I am calling on all sick people, not only victims of Coronavirus in Nigeria and beyond to meet me in Yola, Adamawa State. They will surely go back with a tangible testimony.”

Over 2000 Nigerian girls who were brought to Russia last year for the FIFA World Cup under the guise of being football fans have been forced into sex slavery, prostitution by the traffickers who brought them into the country. Blessing Obuson, a teenager from Edo state, pictured below was one of them. According to a Reuters report, Blessing Obuson thought Russia’s soccer World Cup would be an opportunity to find a job and flew into Moscow from Nigeria last June on a fan ID. Instead, she found herself forced to work as a prostitute. She said her madam had confiscated her passport and told her she’d only get it back once she’d worked off a fictional debt of $50,000.Obuson told her story to a rare English-speaking client who got anti-slavery activists involved. Lionel Messi’s brother sentenced to 30-months in jail for illegal gun possession

Matias, the elder brother of Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has been sentenced for possessing an illegal firearm. The 35-year-old received a two-and-a-half year prison sentence on Thursday, August 16, but instead of doing time in prison, he will undertake community service. According to the report by Argentine newspaper La Capital, investigating prosecutors met before they reached an agreement of Matias not to go to prison any longer. The report added that the firearm was found late in 2017, inside a blood-stained boat which Matias crashed in the Parana River. Matias' lawyer was also said to have argued that his client crashed the boat into a sandbank and denied that he owned the gun. Matias who has has been linked with known criminals in the past, was held for 16 hours in a prison cell in 2015 after officers found an unlicensed 22-calibre gun in his car. He was also arrested In 2008 for allegedly having a loaded gun in his belt.
