Agents with U.S. Customs and the Drug Enforcement Administration have seized $18 million dollars’ worth of cocaine disguised as banana heading to a prison in Texas.   According to reports, the Wayne Scott Unit Prison Farm outside of Freeport, Texas, received a couple pallets of bananas as a donation. When two sergeants went to pick up the pallets, they found the drugs.   “One of the sergeants noticed one of the boxes didn’t seem quite right, looked a little further, removed that box off the pallets, looked inside and saw something extraordinarily suspicious,” Jeremy Desel with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice told KTRK.   Hidden under bundles of bananas were 540 kilos of cocaine. US Support For Atiku, A Major Boost To His Candidacy 2019

On 17th of January 2019, had Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Senate President, Bukola Saraki, landing in Washington D.C, U.S. As opposed to speculations, the presidential candidate visited the US, to meet with the US Chamber of Commerce, the US Congress, Nigerians in Diaspora and the Business community. I was pondering this morning about murder , you know , with all the disturbing front page articles on murder and the gruesome pictures shown. I started thinking , how can people be so heartless and lacking in empathy to the extent of not just killing a fellow being but doing so in a manner that is savagely barbaric. These murderers must have mental health issues, anger problems or just plain evil built into their DNA. Following this thinking, I began to wonder, but what about abortion, is it murder and if yes, is there a difference between a murderer who kills a grown man or woman, and someone who aborts a fetus. Militants linked to the Islamic State (IS) group have hoisted their flag in a Nigerian town after seizing control of it, three residents have told the BBC. Hundreds of people have fled the fishing town of Baga after the militants overran it on Wednesday night, the residents said. The militants seized weapons from a military base, and torched a naval base on the shores of Lake Chad, they said. The military denied Baga had fallen, saying the attack had been repelled. But PRNigeria, an agency well-connected with the military, quoted an intelligence officer as saying that troops had made a "tactical withdrawal" from their base after coming under attack. A Geneva prosecutor is now reviewing the materials and will decide what can be shared with Italian authorities, where some trials have begun in the monumental bribery scandal. Nigerian nudist, Maheeda, who turned a year older today, recounted an armed robbery attack that took place 10 years. Tyrannosaurus rex, the king of the dinosaurs, has gained a new family member. The fragments of a fossilized skull belonging to a previously unknown species of tyrannosaur were found in southern Alberta, Canada. And it's all thanks to John De Groot, a farmer and palaeontology enthusiast who found the fossil, according to a release from the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Alberta, where the fossils will be displayed later this year.
