State College cops who killed Osaze Osagie, a Nigerian student in the United States, have been cleared of all charges. The police officers had implemented the use of force while serving a mental health warrant that resulted in the death of Osaze Osagie on March 20. According to a the Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna, the officers were in a “life-and-death situation” when they shot Osagie who was approaching them with a 5.16-inch steak knife, Onwardstate reports. Osagie died of multiple gunshot wounds after the confrontation at his apartment on Old Boalsburg Road. 21-year-old Indian television actress commits suicide after a failed relationship

Popular Telugu TV actress, Naga Jhansi committed suicide at her residence in Hyderabad by hanging herself on Wednesday. The 21-year old actress is said to have taken such an extreme step after a failed relationship with her boyfriend Surya aka Nani. Jhansi and Nani are said to have been in a relationship for a while now but Nani's parents were against their relationship. They were unhappy with him planning to get married to Jhansi and this did not go down well with her. Police officials reached her residence after they were informed by neighbours of the actress' death. Officials shifted her body to Gandhi Hospital and have started investigating the case. Reportedly, police officials are waiting for the post-mortem report and will begin their investigation after that. Jhansi is known for her role in popular Telugu daily soap Pavitra Bandham. Negotiations between Nigeria, the United States of America and the Island of Jersey for the return of fresh $300m from former Head of State, late General Sani Abacha, has reached an advanced stage, Daily Trust heard yesterday. The Special Assistant to the President on Justice Sector Reform and National Coordinator for Open Government Partnership, Mrs Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagwu, A presidential aide, also said the figures being reported [£210m – equivalent to $267m or N82bn) are wrong. She said negotiations and litigation on money have been ongoing for over three years between the USA, Island of Jersey and Nigeria. Indian Man To Die By Hanging For Destroying 4-yr-old Girl's Intestine Via Rape

A teacher has been sentenced to death by hanging for raping a four-year-old student so badly that she had to have her intestines realigned. Mahendra Singh Gond is due to be hanged next month after he raped the child on June 30 last year in India's Madhya Pradesh district. He raped the girl so badly that he rearranged her insides, then he dumped her body in a jungle area, assuming she was dead. A desperate search was launched, before the girl's family found her with agonising injuries and rushed her to hospital. Her injuries were so severe that she had to be airlifted to a Delhi hospital where she had an operation to realign her intestines, reports Times Now News. Gond was arrested within hours of the horrific attack and he was convicted after the girl made a statement during her recovery. Gond was sentenced to capital punishment on September 19 last year. Victims of domestic violence to enjoy paid leave in New Zealand

Victims of domestic violence in New Zealand will now be allowed to take up to 10 days paid leave from work to try to escape the abuse. This is part of a scheme to address the nation’s "shocking" levels of family violence.  Introducing the scheme, which is the first in the developed world, Greens MP Jan Logie, a member of the ruling Labour-led coalition, said the leave would help victims to move homes or settle children into new schools. She said it would also help to protect victims from abusers, who often stalked them at work or tried to sabotage their careers. "This is a win for victims, a win for employers, and a win for society," she said.  "This law is a world first and it will make a significant difference for people trying to escape domestic violence." Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has identified the late former military Head of State, Sani Abacha, as the biggest thief in world history, stating that 21-years after, more loots linked to the former dictator were still being uncovered. Famous Mexican drug lord,  Joaquin  "El Chapo"  Guzman  has been found guilty on all counts against him and is expected to spend the rest of his life in a US jail  El Chapo who escaped from prison twice, made his first successful attempt in 2001 and broke out of a Mexican jail by hiding in a laundry bin. Then, in 2014, he fled jail through a mile-long lighted tunnel which his associates had fitted with a motorcycle on rails. He was arrested again in 2016 and extradited to the US the following year. On Tuesday, Guzman was convicted of running a criminal enterprise that amassed him a $14 billion (£11 billion) fortune. He ran the Sinaloa cartel, becoming the world's most notorious drug baron since Pablo Escobar, the Colombian who was shot dead in 1993.
