Nigerian Man Scared Of Returning Home, Allegedly Breaks Traffic Rules In US

Here is a footage from a court proceeding of a Nigerian man that was accused of breaking the traffic rules in the Rhode Island, US.

According to a video making rounds online, the Nigerian man in response to all the questions asked by the Chief Judge Frank Caprio, painstakingly asked "if he would be sent back Nigeria or sent to prison".

The Judge who seem not to be hard-handed was compassionate with him and granted him bail after he found him not guilty as charged.

The organisers of the planned academic conference on witchcraft planned for Nsukka next week are looking for another venue after the University of Nigeria withdrew the approval for the use of its Energy Centre. The director of the centre wrote conference organisers withdrawing the approval, amidst the opposition by Christian students and the Christian Association of Nigeria against the conference. The conference, initially scheduled for 28-31 October is the brainchild of the B.I.C Ijomah Centre for Policy and Research and is expected to hold between November 26 and November 27. It is a pure academic exercise, not a real meeting of witches and wizards, the centre said, shocked by the uninformed reaction of Christian students and CAN. An American woman in Zimbabwe has been jailed for 'insulting' President Robert Mugabe by allegedly tweeting an image of him which suggested he has a catheter from an anonymous account which was still active as she languished behind bars on Saturday.
