Unemployed 37-year-old Nigerian woman commits suicide

A 37 year old lady simply identified as Banke, committed suicide last Sunday. According to her friend, Esther Ijewere, Banke slid into depression as everything wasn't working for her.

She was without a job and in a violent relationship before taking a walk. Doctor beheaded by boyfriend after she refused to marry him

A junior doctor was beheaded by her boyfriend after she refused to marry him, police say. The boyfriend then tried to take his own life but failed. 26-year-old Shyngys Bekenov, a teacher, proposed to his girlfriend Nazerke Bekzhanova, 21, who had recently graduated from medical university in Kazakhstan. But Nazerke refused to accept the proposal because her parents did not approve of him, it is believed. Angered by her rejection, Shyngys severed his girlfriend's head as they sat in his car. He then tried but failed to end his own life by stabbing himself in the abdomen after writing a suicide note asking that they should be buried together, according to police. His note claimed he had beheaded the woman after she told him she would marry him, it was reported. A newlywed couple have become the couple with the most short-lived marriage after they divorced just 3 minutes after getting married. Only seconds after they signed their marriage contract in a courthouse, the wife tripped and the groom called his new wife 'stupid' for tripping over. In tears, the bride demanded an annulment. The apex court, had barely a week ago, affirmed an interim forfeiture of the sum of $8.4m belonging to the ex-First Lady and directed her to return to the Federal High Court in Lagos to show cause why the fund should not be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government.
